I thought i was the only one that liked to Kick a Man when he's Down?
It seems Media Matters & i have a lot in common when it comes to this Rodeo Clown.
Glenn Beck is a Bad Guy hey, in that we all agree, but that doesn't mean we can't offer mercy.
Let him [->EXIT->] the stage in peace, you don't see President Obama jumping on Jerome Corsi.

        Speak truth to power.

kabniel lord knows I am no stickler for pointing out spelling errors but pilot was either drunk or just can't spell. Soros and Siros in the same post? MMFA is subsidized by tax layers? Bilking the tax pagers? Whew! That was even too much for me to bear.

Does that mean we have to misspell DRINK!

By the way, there is no way that post by pilot1 can be serious. It's just too loaded with cliche's and dumbed down talking points. It's like he was trying to create the perfect parody of an unhinged right wing media zombie.

his add sales went up and viewers slightly down although both MUCH higher than the other cable outlets. so yes the mmfa claim is bs. all it means to me is he still has a following (always a numer of crazies i guess).

Viewers are not "slightly" down, unless ~25% is a "slight" decrease. The number of ads sold went up, but the number of actual advertisers is way down along with the prices paid to run ads during his show. It would have been more telling to graph a timeline of the total ad revenue, but regardless, his ad sales are absolutely NOT "MUCH higher" than other outlets.

Yes, he still has a following. But how much of that following will truly notice his absense when there are plenty of other far-right crazies on FNC ready to take his place misinforming and manipulating them? And of those, how many are young enough to actually know how to continue following him via the internet? And of those, how many are willing to pay a monthly fee to listen to more extremist rantings?

It might not be instant, he's going to fight back, but without the giant soapbox of Fox News, Beck as a strong influence is over. He won't be gaining new followers, just preaching to those already brainwashed enough to pay for him to endulge his Messiah complex. And those people are probably beyond rescue anyway...

More like Alex Jones and his conspiratorial rantings. He will take himself seriously(or pretend to), and he won't be as interesting or likable as Art Bell or George Norry.

BTW, Glenn, the folks at Bryant Park are thinking about showing the movie A Face In The Crowd and want to know if you'd like to stop by and sign a few autographs...and your bodyguards are welcome, too.

yea.. the chalkboard is great. What would have been even better would have been to put all of Beck's predictions in the timeline and see which ones actually did in fact happen. Hmmm... wonder why they didn't put that on the timeline...
