SUMMARY: The Hill's Blog Briefing Room reported that Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele has called for an investigation "into allegations that President Barack Obama gave top donors special access to the White House," stemming from a "report published in The Washington Times." The Hill reported that Steele likened the practice to that which occurred under President Clinton but ignored that the Bush administration made heavy use of rewarding top political donors with overnight White House stays, policy briefings, trips to Camp David, "friend-raisers," and galas.
