Citing Horowitz, Limbaugh claimed Democrats, terrorists share anti-American agenda
Inspired by a May 31 FrontPageMag.com column by right-wing commentator David Horowitz, which alleged that British member of Parliament George Galloway has advocated an alliance between Western progressives and "Islamic jihadists," nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh asserted that like Galloway, "mainstream Democrats" and terrorists also have a "common agenda [that] is anti-American."
Horowitz was referring to an interview that Galloway gave to the German-based Iraq News Network. In the interview, Galloway endorsed the potential for "uniting Muslim and progressive forces globally" based on the common enemies of "the Zionist occupation, American occupation, British occupation of poor countries, mainly Muslim countries."
From the May 31 broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show:
LIMBAUGH: Galloway has indeed called for an alliance between Western radicals -- and, by the way, you could really sum up who are Western radicals today by the mainstream of the Democratic Party. The kooks in the fringe of the left actually have assumed status as mainstream Democrats today, and he wants an alliance between people like that and the terrorists because they have common agendas! What is the common agenda? The common agenda is anti-American. So Galloway claims that this alliance is already put together and even though, he calls for it to enlarge. David Horowitz writes all about it.
