Howard Dean's comment that the war in Iraq is unwinnable is another case of Dean "speaking truth to (or about) power". His honesty and accuracy scare the "status quo protecters" to death --- that is why the mainstream media did him in in the 2004 campaign. There have been several credible reports to the effect that the Republicans really feared Dean more than any of the Democratic hopefuls in 2004 --- they were tickled when the Dems nominated Kerry and we all learned why.
