Coulter: "[P]rofiling Muslims is more like profiling the Klan"
In a November 30 syndicated column about the removal of six imams from an airplane in Minnesota after other passengers saw them praying prior to boarding, right-wing pundit Ann Coulter claimed that racially "profiling Muslims is more like profiling the Klan" than it is like profiling African-Americans, "because of the history of discrimination against blacks in this country." Coulter added: "What did we do to the Arabs? I believe Americans are the victims in that relationship."
In the same column, Coulter referred to the spokesman for the six Muslims as their "designated liar," claiming that is how "spokesman" is "phrased in their culture."

Also strange was that the NAACP has piped in to complain about racial profiling of Muslims. The only reason Americans feel guilty about "racial profiling" against blacks is because of the history of discrimination against blacks in this country.
What did we do to the Arabs? I believe Americans are the victims in that relationship. After the attacks of 9/11, profiling Muslims is more like profiling the Klan.
In other words, we shouldn't feel badly about discriminating against a certain group unless we have treated them badly at least once in the past.

I remember at the time hearing that some had, "I'd say they were the victims?" Was Anne involved in 9/11 or know someone who died in the attack personally? Given what she has said about the "true victims" I doubt it. This culture of "pseudo-victimization" by the Right must be decried and hopefully stopped. As it confuses those who have actual needs as relate to whatever tragedy with those who have delusions -- and need a different type of help.

This is about airport security. These crooks should be in prision. The broke federal laws and I hope they get the book thrown at them. Muslims pray only once at sundown, not twice. These clowns purposely prayed twice, chanted, taked about Osama, sat where they were not permitted, talked about how unfair America was to Saddam, told passengers their job was a cover for representing muslims everywhere and that sharia law was not being followed, between the six of them only one checked a bag.

During the Algerian Revolution, which has been called by some the beginning of Muslim extremist movements that have continued to this day, Arab men would dress up as women to move around more freely through checkpoints.
I think that is a good basis that women who look suspiciously like men (especially having an adam's apple for example) should be profiled at EVERY opportunity.

1953: CIA overthrows democratically elected prime minister of Iran and replaces him with brutal Shah dictator.
1980s: Reagan gives weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein, encourages Shiites and Kurds to to rebel against him and stood by as he massacred them. Which Saddam also used in invading Iran.
1990s: U.S. places brutal sanctions on Iraq. Civilian infrastructures are bombed, resulting in the deaths of 500,000 children, not counting others. U.S. and Britain bombs Iraq on a daily basis.
2003: U.S. invades Iraq on false pretenses of WMDs. Kills civilians, starts a civil war.
1947-present: U.S. gives overwhelming aid to Israel, who took away land fom the Arabs, slaughtered and expelled thousands of Arabs from their land. (Israel, by teh way, commits acts of discrimination on Christians).
After all this, people still have the nerve to ask why they hate us?

It is better to kill the enemy (muslims) than the enemy kill us! When will people realize we are at war with a religion! The radicals think that their belief is superior to western belief. They will use any way possible to kill all Americans and Jews. The only way to end the problem is to kill radical muslims that want to kill us! If you think all muslims are peaceful why are they creating 75% of the international problems, ( liberials think Bush and the U.S. is creating all 100% of the world problems). If you think this one is bad trying reading them every week and trying to make sense of them. I decided to write a response to her column every week. An answer from the liberal Christian. I post it to my website and some other blogs as they apply. But I tell you sometimes I want to poke my eyes out with a dull spoon as I am reading these things.
I haven't done my post for this column yet because I wanted to confirm some of the facts she uses. You have to since she so frequently gets things wrong. So I e-mailed the Islamic Center in Tucson that she refers to in the article and am waiting to hear back. But I can tell you I think there is some kind of damage here. I once pondered if your logic can become this screwed up by listening to the shouting the right does? It was the only explanation for her columns sometimes.
