I just don't get this. She clearly told him that it was for people who paid payroll taxes. Does he not understand English? Is that the problem with these people they just don't understand what's said to them? I think, though, it's more likely that they figure if they keep repeating misinformation that their audience will believe it. Incredible.

It's not like it hasn't worked before.  In fact, it usually does.

You have to understand that the corporate line is that when someone does not pay 'income' tax... that they don't pay any taxes at all...

It matters not that everyone actually does pay a tax... whether in the form of a payroll tax or sales tax or a hunting license...

It is obvious that these people are so completely in the tank for the corporate interests that they can't see reality anymore...

In a way... it's really very sad... if it weren't so damn fustrating.

And, bear in mind that folks who get all of their income tax back, still pay it in in the first place, for our government to use.

So we have a discussion of workers not paying taxes. I wish this discussion could work around to corporations with their off shore tax havens not paying taxes.  Maybe George will bring that tax subject up soon.

Discussing  corporations which don't pay taxes is Class Warfare, and therefore out of bounds, didn't you know that?

Tax avoidance, is not illegal. Tax evasion IS illegal. If you can get away with not paying taxes, legally, though loopholes, or other means, then it's OK. As long as it's not illegal. Shut down the loopholes, and change the laws, and taxes will get paid.

The point is sales taxes, hunting licenses, and other local taxes are STATE taxes. If the state want's to issue refunds feel free, it is not a federal responsibility. Also the other issue is for people that do not pay FEDERAL INCOME TAX shouldn't qualify. You make the argument of paying payroll taxes, however people THAT DO NOT WORK still get the refunds, that is where the problem lies.
