        It occurs to me that the "news" is like the playground. The most popular item happens to be the most salacious, like the kid who sneaks in Dad's Playboy and everybody gawks at it. Explaining the stimulus package, rather than speculating on the "Playboy" moment, would be the best use of time. But that is boring to Matthews and his corporate mentality to garner ratings.

        Well, his commercials feature him saying "I hate teaching politics to the experts, but it's fun!" and "I LOVE POLITICS!," so I guess I would say Child is a good description of Matthews.  Mindless Child with a massive, unjustifiable ego is even better.

      Watching Matthews is like watching that TV show "Intervention". One day the poor guy is stumbling around clueless and drunk as a skunk, the next day he's clean and actually making sense - then the next day he's off the wagon again. What is his problem?
