But no, I don't think they want a revolution, they want a Civil War - this one being about conservatism vs. liberalism and which force dominates the country. Us moderates will be caught in the middle...

... and FNC is supposed to be a mainstream "news" channel representing the views of millions of Americans? And the allow one of their stars to call for revolution? And then their other big star, O'Reilly, brings on a fella (Goldberg) who's book lead a guy to shoot-up a school in Tennessee? This is dangerous territory that these nut balls are falling into by spouting this baloney.

Can't tell the difference between prediction and inciting? typical liberal response. And I see that MMFA didn't wait even a hlaf hour to post this after it was aired.. what do you do? sit there with bated breath watching FNC to  jump at the first chance you get? Fearful you'll miss a chance to shoot a zinger? Worried that O'Reilly has your number and is gonna expose you? Sounds like paranoia to me.

Let's be a little more sensible and just take out Beck and Oreily...so there will be less annoying noise while we work our butts off trying to save the country and everything else we love.

When Bill O'Reilly comes across as the sensible one in a conversation, you know the other guy is a nutball.

I used to think Beck made some sense sometimes before, but I guess being on CNNHN reigned in his worst idiocy. Now he's just letting his freak flag fly.

Want proof as to how far so called news programs have fallen? Exhibit A: Glenn Beck (I'm betting he has a psychotic break on TV within 8 weeks. Any takers?)

His predictable Chicken Little routine has not only gone from mildly entertaining to embarrassing but worse, he's irresponsible.

He brags about his alleged ratings (You trust him?) but Glenn - people also love to watch train wrecks, mud wrestling and porn. You know, I bet his rating are high.

I don't think anyone disagrees that we're at least on the road to an economic depression. Whether Obama's stimulus works or not is the current debate. If it is ineffective, things will assuredly get worse.

What's unreasonable about saying that things are going to get pretty bad and people are going to get really angry? I personally don't think the American people have it in them to take back their country, but I certainly think there will be civil unrest on the streets of the U.S., at least on par with Iceland and Greece today.

Outside of people saying Beck is crazy (personal attack), what are people disagreeing with?

Obama himself said that we might never be the same if this stimulus package doesn't pass. Obama himself has made it very clear that if we don't play his game, we're in a serious amount of trouble. Are you really wanting to argue that some people doubt the severity of our economic situation, and that anyone can admit that there is no possibility that there could be a depression?

This comment makes little sense, if we presuppose that free speech covers everyone, and that the value of free speech trumps any "inherent value of having a crass person" nonsense. Free speech wins, regardless of your ideology.

You can't have an elevated discussion with Beck as the starting point. He carries too much baggage.

An abstract discussion about how angry the people might get could be worth something. But when Beck says they'll get angry, he means they'll get angry at the democrats, not at the republicans and wall street execs who did all this without punishment, and at the media who cheers them on even after all is obvious.

And in case you're new to the Beck-apocalypse game, he plays it at least twice weekly.

For one thing he is not really saying anything. Who is revolting and why? And wouldn't that emphasize the need for the stimulus? Weren't the right recently saying that Obama was just hyping it? The economy collapsed after years of Republican domination. How does that help Beck and his base?

It helps him because he is distancing himself from the Republican brand, and has done so since John McCain was the Republican presidential candidate. Whether he can be successful with that, or how genuine he is, is up for debate. Just because he's on Fox does not mean that he's a Republican cheerleader like Hannity.

I know that goes against the MM dogma, though he and Hannity both share the same ideology and cable network does not mean that Beck is married to the Republican party in the same way that Hannity or ORLY is. They only differ on points of emphasis.

The people SHOULD revolt, but they won't because they're too docile, misinformed, and have way too much unfounded faith in their leaders to 'save' them. There have been huge demonstrations around the world in response to this financial crisis, including a general strike in France. Why not in America?

If he's talking about those who have been the victims of voodoo economics for the past 30 years he may have a valid point, but I have a feeling he's talking about himself, Billo, Limpbag, et. al.

I agree with Beck that there will probably be a major depression. And come to think of it, he might be right about the aftermath of such a depression as well.

We've seen all of these out-of-control bubbles burst: the economic meltdowns were caused by the the housing and the sub-prime markets that grew without any control (thanks, CRA, Dems); before that, the dot-com bubble of the late '90's, & c. Any thing that gets out of control and expands beyond reason is subject to a bust.

The same is true of populations of any kind.

There's one more bubble that's not yet burst..our human overpopulation bubble. (Just ask Al Gore, if you can get him to be truthful for a minute: his lifelong problem is with Global Warming, but unmentioned is his misanthropy and his hatred for so many people. Take away a couple thirds of the world's population, and global warming disappears. But he's too crafty to come right out and say that.)

It may not be called a 'revolution', but when it comes, it'll be that final bubble what goes 'bang'.

The revolution, it will not be telegraphed.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, THE TRUTH IS THE GREATEST ENEMY OF THE STATE." -- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

The meltdown of the financial sector was caused by the financial sector, particularly large investment banks with the help of ratings agencies that allowed AAA ratings on garbage sold to investors.

They took the profits and repeated it until it blew up and they then had to pay up to others, and when they couldn't because they were over-leveraged, went under
