More dog whistle politics from the right wing.

And, please look up the definition of socialism for crying out loud.

Ah jeez. In reading some history lately, it does seem that everytime a democrat takes the White House, the right wingers start proclaiming that socialism is coming! Socialism is coming! They did it with FDR. They did it with Kennedy. They did it with Carter, and Clinton. Turns out, it just never happened.

These folks are obsessed with something that won't occur.

For God's sake, government spending as a percentage of Gross Natonal Prodfuct.  No one defines socialism that way.  During time of war the US government probably spent a higher % and that didn't make us socialists. Socialism is government ownership and control of production and distribution.  Even true Socialists don't believe any European nations are socialist. Any Swede will laugh at youif you call their government Socialist. Sweden is the country most mentioned by the right wing- Sweden is a constitutionl monarchy with 90% of it's production in private hands. It does have a high tax rate, in return for which all it's citizend get excellent universal health care, free education for all up to an including university, paid child care, family leave etc.  The tax rate is about 50% for the average person.  And by the way, the average executive makes about 10-15 x the salary of the average worker.  Doesn't sound all that bad to me
