We'll find out if Mr. Santelli is right in November of 2010.

      THANK YOU.

Actually we know NOW that Mr. Santelli is a loon. Any economist will tell you that we need to stem foreclosures to save the economy. Bailouts for Wall Street OK, but regular Americans, not so much? Is that it?

These are people that have lost their jobs due to the recession or were given bad deals by greedy mortgage bankers.

Mr. Santelli is of that same ilk and deritive traders have no business preaching to those of us suffering the consquences THEY helped to bring on.

Well I'll be darned, I never thought I'd live to see it:

News Corporation (Fox News Channel) and General Electric (NBC, and MSNBC in the above item) and Disney (ABC) and Time-Warner (CNN), they have collectively formed an American political party!

True, those few media companies have now not only assumed the role of a political party in America, they have assumed (suprise) the role of an opposition party to the Obama administration.

True. They (those few media companies) now have employees of theirs debating the President, across the Public Airwaves, dictating policy and engaging (or trying their hardest to engage) the President in uninvited dialogues, or with whoever else in the Obama administration will take the bait (such as the Press Secretary in the above item).

Looks kind of strange to me... I have never seen rush limbaugh appear to have as much political power as he presently has: he has not the numbers of listeners he has had in the past, and of those he has, I don't exactly think he can command them as to how to vote or think, but still, I have never seen the political media hack rush limbaugh exercise as much political authority as he is presently doing... he not only is publicly dictated FCC policy, but he has "progressives" (or whatever they call themselves) nodding their heads in fear, timidly agreeing profusely that no mr. limbaugh, we will not regulate EQUAL TIME when it comes to broadcasting political opinions on our Public Airwaves... no mr. limbaugh, we will not do that... yes mr. limbaugh, we will promise and sign oaths and do whatever else you want us to do or say.

I've never seen the guy play you all for such timid children, as he does right now... why, it's a free-for-all among media hacks right now: there are so many of them right now using the Public Airwaves as a political platform (even turning the Public Airwaves into an opposition political party!), and who is there to stop them?

Gee, I wish I had an FCC License and could broadcast my political opinions at the American People, in whatever way I like and without any responsibility or accountability for my use of the Public Airwaves... I have never seen the Public Airwaves more "privitized" politically than they are right now: the Public Airwaves are at present a powerful political tool used by the Republican Party: they hide behind it as sort of a "stalking horse", even taking on the appearance of another political party, and all by way of the extraordinarily powerful and precious privilege to broadcast on the Public Airwaves to the American People.

This Santelli thing is a mystery to me. Some rich stock broker dude whining about the government is supposed to be the new voice of the rage of ordinary Americans?

      But whatever. Look at this:

Can another Obama victory be a safe bet? Bring on Palin - Santelli!

Mr Santelli hit a nerve with  many americans! It can be argued but imho there is plenty of blame to go around. Both dems and rep. From Clinton to Bush top to bottom CEO's to mail clerks. BUT what has happened to personal responsibility??  Just because a lender said a homebuyer could buy a $300,000.00 home on a $50,000.00 a year salary doesn't mean you buy it. There was no gun put to their head telling them to buy! Common Sense would tell you you can't afford it!

Then they buy their house with $0 down. Then buy a car with $0 down on a 75 month loan. And the flat screen TV's and X-Boxes. I have been in these people's homes many many times.

They do this because we live in a walfare state. Nothing is our fault. Blame someone else. We put more emphsis on sex education in schools than how money works.

We are told we have a right to health care, housing, etc. We are told we need to be fair or we are all equal. Many schools don't give F's to students. Teachers don't write in red ink. God forbid someones feelings get hurt.

Mr Santelli you are spot on!!! It's not my fault nor is it my or Government's responsibility to bail out idiots who bought more than they can afford. Life is hard! Life ISN"T fair. Bad things happen to good people.

Everyone should have 6 to 9 months of real expenses saved. In case you lose your job. Cell phones, I-pods, X-boxes, Cable TV, new car, internet etc. isn't a right to have. 6 to 9 months real expenses saved could last a family 12 to 18 months if out of work. If you cut spending and add in unemployment and, godforbid, a part time job, you can make it without a mortgage bailout.

And those who face a catastrophic event in their lives? I think we as a nation should have help for them. However, Mr Santelli isn't talking about them.

Warren Buffet, you say taxes are too low for you rich people. I don't see you writing a check to the Government. Anyone else want to help? Write a check. The Government will take the money. Don't take my money to bail out the idiots who are too stupid to manage their own lives!!! Life is hard, life isn't fair, there is no free ride. Go rent, sell you car, x box, playstation, WII, i pod, flat screen TV, Blackberry storm cell phone, dump cable and internet. The library has a computer to search for a job or check your free YAHOO email account.

I work 2 jobs to provide for my family, pay my bills and pay down my debt i was too stupid to get. I fought to save my home from foreclosure with no Government help. What do I get??? $13.00 back from the Government a week of MY money. The loser down the street with 2 new cars, a WII,X-box, Playstation and 60" Plasma WILL get thousands $$$. People....That is who Mr Santelli is talking about. Tea Party? YOU BET!

Time for a revolution. Time to vote out every politician. Super majority of any one party in charge is trouble.

Mr Santelli, don't let up for sec! Millions are with you!

Sorry, I don't think a hedge fund manager is my idea of a populist leader. Default rates were not an issue of any note till the derivative markets came into exsistence.

I hope you and Mr. Santelli will be very happy together.

"Mr Santelli, don't let up for sec! Millions are with you!"

except, of course, if i live next to the house being foreclosed on, and the value of my property plummets as a consequence. i anticipate mr. santelli will come riding to my rescue, and recompense me for the loss in value.

      probably not.
