This is another in a string of examples of those on the right misleading their listeners. The right is pretending that this is not as bad as Obama is making it out to be, and that way, when things are not better in 6 months, they can blame Obama's solutions! I am convinced of this from the evidence. They have been arguing that not enough money is being spent this year, and that too much will be investing in 2010 or beyond, implying that the only need for stimulus is in the near term.

Realists know that it's a terrible economy. Even in the Great Depression, the majority of people did okay. The problem was that so many were hurting. This recession is going to be the same. The majority of people will be scared, but will do okay, and for those deluded Republicans that fit into that mold, they will be convinced by Hannity's arguments that Obama's solution is the reason that the economy is doing poorly in 2010 and beyond. Reality tells us smart liberals that if the economy is still struggling into 2010 and beyond, it's terrific that Obama did what he did to make it less worse than it would have been with a Republican-crafted solution!

His rebuttal? Do you really need to hear Hannity tell you one more time that the economy is strong?

In one moment Vannity is whining that the stock market closed down and in the next Insane Vannity is hissy that Obama is being too negative about the economy.  Is he really this stupid or is it an act?

Sean Hannity, one of the Fux channel’s Most Egregious Media Retards finally gets dressed down, exposing all the inherent flatulence presented on that classless, boob tube channel…another smirking schmuck shot-down.

I am always amazed at how much of an expert Rannity is on every topic.  If he's really that smart, couldn't he have finished college?

You have to realize that Rush and Hannity turned in their Presidential kneepads on January 20th and no longer receive the White House Talking Points from Karl Rove. Hence, they're creating their own reality on what's going on in the economy.

They still get them. Part of Rove/Repub strategery is always control the message, no matter how much misdirection occurs.

"Your President, the Messiah, the Chosen One..."

in the 1990s he and Limbaugh went with "der Shlickmeister, Slick Willie,"etc. etc.

And these are the same guys who blew a gasket because they thought that members of the media were purposefully drawing out the "W" when mentioning George W Bush, and interrupting people who called him "Bush" with "That's President Bush."

        Very consistent.

Huckster and Vannity were discussing this very topic the other day and both were referring to the President as just "Obama".  It's almost sad how thick their hypocrisy is revealed when their party is completely minimized.

Hypocrisy? You kids bristle when someone, anyone dares impune the vast liberal left, and yet you destroy your own arguments and veiwpoints by resorting to the same name-calling and point-dodging you claim to hate! That is hypocrisy....go on, let's hear some more!

And Harley is particularly good at that, if you watch his posts most are just name calling and cute nicknames for the people he disagrees with. He rarely will add anything constructive to the conversation.

Neither of have a comment about the thread except to attack a poster.  Nice job applying another thick layer of hypocrisy brought to us from the radical and pathetically dying right-wing.  You radical right-wing extremists bristle when someone, anyone dares impune the once vast but now dying conservative right,, and yet you destroy your own arguments and veiwpoints by resorting to the same name-calling and point-dodging you claim to hate! That is hypocrisy....go on, let's hear some more!

If you listen close, Mrs Diamond blames other people, not paying their mortgages for her decline in home value and loss of equity. She of all should know, thats not true. She bought at the top of the market. Its no different than stocks. Thats the risk of waiting and buying late, in any market. Assigning blame, is the Fixed News trick.

Who is going to be the first left-leaning guest to overtly "talk Hannity down"? Who's going to say it? On the day that Hannity unveiled that over-the-top stimulus package montage, he had Newt Gingrich actually doing it. But who's going to expressly say that they have to "talk you down" before doing it?

That's a remarkable device by Maddow, and if it became a standard phrase among Hannity's left-leaning guests, that would be nice, in my humble opinion...

Of course, Hannity would probably edit it out, but still...

I love it. THe market goes down and Hannity blames Obama. Might it not have to do with conservative spin talk of nationalizing the banks? Guys like Hannity and all their misinformation are pathetic.

*LOL* You must remember, Hannity, the unqualified salesman for right wing lunacy, still has an enormous salary. While his economic conditiion has nothing to do with a "meritocracy"--he's not qualified to fix my car!--he makes millions off of Faux "News." So to him all Obama does is complain.

(If I had a multi-million dollar salary despite my near illiteracy, I'd say what I'm supposed to as well!)
