Wow! How many washed-up disgraced former GOP leaders can you fit in one room? My sympathies to whomever it was that had to be there to witness this catastrophe.

I'm almost enjoying it.  They're like a bunch of cranky, old and ill-intentioned  versions of Malcolm Crowe from The Sixth Sense, walking around dead and not knowing it.

And so begins Newt Gingrich's plan to be the Barry Goldwater of 2012.

Let's wish him all the best.

Well Newt, elections have consequences. Maybe all us who were left behind, watched productivity increase and our wages stagnate or decline might like to sip at the cup of socialism. For one thing, at least 30% of what I pay for healthcare goes right into the pockets of those who spend their day trying to deny me healthcare. Now's who's the idiot in that situation?

I understand why AG Holder called people out. These people who are afraid to befriend people outside of work, school or any place that forces you to interact with other people (esp. of different races). So when referring to what he said "We are a nation of cowards", It seems pretty clear what is meant. But what gets me is that the Republican Party and Mr. Gingrich are able to do is take the comment and turn it into we are just cowards in general and people just simply accept it. They puff out their chest and look back at Newt and say: "That's Right...I ain't no stinkin' coward"

And all of this from a twice divorced man...who better to call a coward than a man afraid of commitment.

OT but..... having been married and divorced twice it was not a cowards way out to admit I had made a mistake and had to tell a women who loved me dearly that I had to leave. By far the hardest thing I have ever done. I live with that guilt every day and I can assure you that I thought about just sticking it out and ripping her off emotionally. In my view that is the cowardly thing to do.

Is that supposed to be a negative? Calling Europe "socialist" is like calling China "communist". Nice labels, but they don't describe the politics very good.

Europe is capitalist, but with strong government protections for the "regular people". I guess that might mean "socialism" for the GOP though.

These LOONIES cannot and will not grasp the fact that their conservative polocies(small GOVT and tax cuts for the rich.) have put us in the predicament we are in now.

SOCIALISM is the new CONSERVATIVE  buzzword for LIBERALS. I wonder how many of them know what the definition of socialism  really is?( SOCIALISM, having the means of production controlled by the workers.
