"Is there a war against us and our owners?" would be a more honest question. It's the one they're really interested in anyway.

When the poor lose a class war, they get poorer. When the rich lose a class war, they get richer.

They learned this trick from Fox: put up a total lie and end it with a question mark, and you're off the hook!

Finally, a president who can bring down those who achieved the American dream through hard work and determination. The audacity of achieving wealth will be dealt with, by Obama, in swift fashion. Che Obama will usher in a new era for those who strive for a level playing field, "by hatchet, axe and saw".  From "The trees" by Rush---interesting lyrics describing the innocense of socialism.

If Wall Street bosses achieved the American Dream would they be rushing to Washington for a bailout?

At least make some original criticisms. Do you help send faxes for the Rove Rangers?

Hey wookie, wall street is every American who invests their hard-earned dollars in America, whether it's the 80 year old couple from Omaha or the 19 year old Walmart employee from Sacremento.

Oh shut your blow hole.  This country is thick with billionaires who've never worked a damn day in their lives unless you call buying politicians "work," and with poor and middle class people who have worked all their lives just to keep their heads above water.  Equating Wealth with Hard Work is a neat little trick which has made the Social Darwinists happy for more than 130 years now, but it's no closer to reality in 2009 than it was during the Gilded Age.

If hard work= wealth and sitting on your butt=  poverty, there would be a lot more rich people in this country, and Rush Limbaugh would be begging dimes on a streetcorner somewhere.  Spare us your outdated, sneering superiority complex.

If wealth equates to ability and effort, how to you explain generations of the Bush family, or Paris Hilton?

George W. Bush's brothers Marvin and Neil are absolute idiots -- so stupid they make him look like a genius. They were born wealthy, they attended the best schools, and they've made millions themselves based on that initial wealth, though they have absolutely ZERO ability and have produced no achievements.

It's all about the capital the family has to pass on from generation to generation and the connections that come from wealth. I say tax the estates to the point of confiscation and then let the new generations try to reacquire that wealth. If those who have the wealth now really believe that ability and hard work are all that matter, they should have no problem giving up their estates, because they should logically also believe that their kind will automatically continue to rise to the top. They need to shut up unless they'll put that theory to the test.

Good idea.  Of course, the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" GOP has the exact opposite idea- they hate the concept of ANY Estate taxes, because God Forbid that their children might actually have to live to up to their parent's pretended philosophy and create their OWN wealth by working hard.

After all, it's just a matter of hard work and self-sacrifice, right?  So why would ANY Conservative be legitimately opposed to a 100% estate tax?  Why would any Conservative want to deny his children the opportunity to compete the way he did?  I think we already know the answer- this self-reliance crap is just a smokescreen.  What the Right-Wingers really believe in is predatory wealth, passed down from generation to generation, used to isolate each from having to mix with their social inferiors.  Nepotism, "Legacies," you name it- all tools of the "Hard-Working" wealthy class.   Well pardon us if we are done swallowing your propaganda and start calling you on your BS.

It's ok to appreciate the tale of Robin Hood(Obama) if the wealth is someone elses but if it's your hard earned dollars, I'm sure the "advice" would be much different. The democrats are ok giving other people's money away but don't think for a minute someone like Nancy Pelosi would part from her millions(money she never worked for) without kicking and screaming. Call Mrs. Pelosi and explain to her your dis-satisfaction with wealthy people keeping their money and ask her to sympathize with your point of view. Can I say "click.........bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."
