      Can't stand Coulter but this title is inaccurate. She does not imply at all that she'd let them be bombed. I think she's saying she'd ask which cities they were before taking action.

        wrong. The question she stated was:"what would if during this debate hat GOd forbid three U.S. cities were hit simultaneously"

        So obviously the simultaneous attack has happened. So her wanting to know which cities are hit before she makes her official response sounds like she is saying that some cities just aren't worth protecting.

        And of course she will play it off as being 'just a joke"

          And you'd want to know which cities were hit before you decided to take action..so you'd know where to send the aid. It was a dumb joke, but I can't see where she implied she'd let them be attacked. 

           

          FWIW the question is dumb to begin with.

            It shouldn't matter which cities are hit, thats whole point. Her statement indicates if it's a city she doesn't care too much for, than she might not send a rescue response. I don't see why this is a hard concept to grasp.

            Which is why it was never a question to begin with.  She's 'joking' about terrorist attacks on America and how she would not care if thousands of certain Americans were killed.

        Coulter's joke was unacceptable, but I agree with Sinner that MM should rephrase the title..The hypothetical assumed that the cities had already been bombed, and the question was about Coulter's reaction to the disaster, rather than her way to prevent the bombs from falling.

      First off, Obama did not say he would send ambulances as his only action. He said:

      "Well, first thing we’d have to do is make sure that we’ve got an effective emergency response, something that this administration failed to do when we had a hurricane in New Orleans…The second thing is to make sure that we’ve got good intelligence, A, to find out that we don’t have other threats and attacks potentially out there; and B, to find out do we have any intelligence on who might have carried it out so that we can take potentially some action to dismantle that network."

      Secondly, Ann is suggesting that on any given day, any given city is allowed to be attacked by terrorists. Where is the public outcry for this?

      I am almost ALMOST tempted to attend her "meeting of the minds" in Boston, just to protest out in the streets during the event.

      I have never seen anyone spew so much venom and vitriol in my life.  Freedom of speech is one thing, but when will we ever get freedom FROM speech?

        Are you kidding?  She is one the best things that has ever happened to the left.  Everytime she speaks she isolates the far right further and further from reality and from getting any moderate votes.  I think the left should repeat her remarks and have her speak as often as possible.  I think this CPAC conference is a perfect example of why voters, like myself, who once voted as moderate Republicans no longer associate themselves with that party.  As long as Limbaugh and the like are the ones making the political decisions for the Republicans they will work their way even more into the fringes of society and out of the mainstream.

      I agree that Coulter isn't implying that he'd like 3 cities to be hit, but rather making a tepid joke that the obvious first response on hearing of 3 cities hit is to ask which.

      He's a horrible person, but this clip doesn't show it. It only shows he has a future as a comedian.

        Nothing, and I mean nothing Coulter's twisted brain can dream up could be worse than when the president, upon being told that the country was under attack, sat in that classroom for 7 minutes.

        The question asked did not say which. They were asked to give a vague response as to what they would do in such a situation. I don't think such a response would have illicited such laughter from the audience.

      The website "Patterico.com" has a headline that reads "Media Matters lies" about Ann Coulter, in reference to this story.

      I haven't seen her video or MM's article so I will go do that now. Just letting you know.

          How can they be lying about Coulter when they have the video up here of her saying those things?
