Do I want the president's economic agenda to fail? Yes! The agenda this president is on is going to destroy this economy and our way of life as we have known it. I for one, am not happy about it. Many think it is a good thing, I don't.

DICKM, Im afraid i'm goingto have to disagree with you . I believe that the polocies of the NEOCONSERVATIVES have gotten us into the mess we are in now and just like in the 1930,s  the DEMOCRATS by using GOVT activism and spending are needed to pull us out.

First, the actions over the past years by Republicans does not represent conservative values.

Just like the war, can you not believe in the war but support our troups?

I, like Rush, do not believe that the direction that we are going is what I want for this country.  If these policies succeed,we will have changed the foundation of what American is.  So, I hope this fails while at the same time I hope that something happens that will help turn our economy around.

And what changed in the 30's to build property was the granting of credit by the Govt. so that people could buy toasters, etc.

Actually America was established as a liberal and progressive nation -- to be the exact opposite of what and where we came from. Our founders were brilliant children of the enlightenment, paid great attention to history, and saw firsthand how conservative economic policies never work. They literally put their lives on the line to establish our form of progressive and open democracy, while guys like Rush got out of conflicts like Vietnam for having a polinidal cyst up his butt.

There you go.  I'm good looking, skinny and smart.  There you have it.

I've emailed Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe, MSNBC this morning asking him why "elected" Republican Politicians are afraid of Rush Limbaugh.  I also asked Joe and Mika if they majored in "economics" for them to continue to argue on the 'what-ifs' in such gloomy ways, and not discuss any positive things coming from President Obama's Administration on fixing our Country's Economy.  My answer from Morning Joe so far is blah, blah, blah...

I will say this as simple as I can, that way you all can follow.  I have never seen an Administration so scared of one person.  I know why, because in the 20 years, or 12 that he has been so popular Rush has never changes his core principles.  The sad part is, our current leaders in the Republican Party have and thinks we need to change our core principles so we can win elections.  McCain was nothing but a Democrat wrapped in a Republican Cloth.  Not until Republicans get back to our core principles of Small Government, Protect our Borders, Free Market, and the strength of our nation is within the individual.

        MarkBFoot...,

You missed the political play that is going on here, (maybe because you are thinking like a Republican), and can not see the light at the end of the tunnel.  "Afraid" of Rush - PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE!  Rush is no where on President Obama's radar - it's our Country's "Economic Mess" left by the Bush Administration and getting out of it - HELLLOOOO!!!

About 3 weeks ago, it was mentioned that President Obama had told the House Republicans to "stop listening to Rush" so they can get the people's work done.  Now, 3 weeks later and here the Republicans are with the "NO" approach & "core principles"  as the way in fixing our Country's Economic Mess (left by the Bush Administration).

Question:  What if the Democrats would have been standing strong with the "NO" approach & their "core principles" as a way to fix our Country's Econonmic Mess, and the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Bill) did NOT pass, or was signed into law?  Answer:  A state like California would NOT be able to be hiring 5,000 people two weeks later.  This is just one example, and a whole lot more to come within the next week or two.  Now who should really be "afraid" is Republicans, don't you think?  Wink, wink.

"Rush is no where on President Obama's radar" Really, then is Obama Administration talking about him?  IF not on the Radar, why even bring his name up?  Seems to me that the day Obama told folks to stop listening, Rush has gotten more powerful.  Thanks Obama, you helping us Conservatives more then ever.  The more you push your Socialist Agenda the more you show how better conservative move will be.   Obama is talking about opening 126 community health centers at the cost of 155 million.  So what doctors are going to work for there?  This sounds like the start of a socialist health care program.   FYI, this money is coming from the stimulus package, again not creating jobs more then creating a socialist healthcare system.

You Republicans "just don't get what is going on" do you?  That mumbo, jumbo stuff you just posted is a 'classic' what-if argument that Republicans do to distract from giving a "true" answer to a question that "favors" President Obama, his Administration, and the Democrats.

Like I said, Rush is "NOT" on President Obama's radar - it's our Country's "Economic Mess".  If you listen to Rush now, you would hear poor Rush boo hooing over how President Obama is picking on him because he just talks on the radio, not write or vote on our Country's policies like Congress and the President do.  Shameful.  (Rush said this in the first 30 min. of his Show today).

You know what, Rush is right here.  But, you Ditto Heads,  just don't get how he is jerking your chains with non-sense 'what-ifs' arguments for his millions a year as salary.  Let's see if you can get (once again) the political game that is going on here:  Rush is pushing entertainment garbage (worth zero $$$); the Republicans have pushed "NO" & "core principles" (worth zero $$$); and President Obama and the Democrats have pushed (policies) i.e. the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (Stimulus Bill) worth billions upon billions of $$$.

So keep following Rush and the Republicans as they continue to push "NO" and their "core principles" for zero $$$.  I'm following the $$$ created by President Obama and the Democrats to get our Country moving in real time.  Wink, wink.

They're talking about him because its politically expedient to do so. Have you not been watching what's happening here?

In the bubble that is Rush Limbaugh's ditto heads and wingnuts, you may have the luxury of thinking that Rush is making a real impact. Out here in the real world Rush's favourability is lower than ex President Bush's. So - in short, my conservative friend - it SUITS President Obama and the Democrats to paint Rush as the leader of the Republican party because while they do so, the Republicans become less and less likely to find their way out of the political wilderness any time soon. Haven't you seen the look of glee on Democrat faces??

If you really believe that conservative policies are better for America, then you had better start talking loudly and strongly against Rush Limbaugh. Because while that man stands as your talking head, you'll just sink further and further into minority and fringe status.

I believe some smart Republicans are already saying as much. Listen to your moderates. Their your ticket back.

Rush? He's just a one-way ticket to mediocrity. And President Obama, smart and savvy politician that he is, realises it.

            Peace out.

What the heck is wrong with you people?

United we stand, divided we fall.  You try to wrap your sad logic in the  way of "I want his policies to fail"?  WTH?  A president's policies are who he is, so if you want them to fail, you want him to fail also.

And Gibbs asked a simple question here.  And to watch all of these so-called conservative you elected to go to DC and represent YOU, bow at the alter of a talk radio guy is a sad sight.  For you to not see that is rediculous.  They represent their districts and their states, not the 20% of the country that shares their ideology, or Rush's 22million listeners...

Uh Rush's audience is 13 million listeners, not 20 million as Rush says.  And you are so right with the Conservatives missing the point of who was "elected" by the American people.

These Conservatives "Ditto Heads" just don't get it, and you know what?  I see how former President Bush was able to do his thing when he was in office for 8 years.  As long as it is said from a Conservative, Neo-Conservative, or Republican with some name recognition than these "Ditto Heads" believe every word.  I truly did "NOT" think the Conservatives believed everything like they do without challenging the logic or non-sense of it all.  Wow, no wonder why our Country is in such a mess.

How can all of you Rush defenders not see the politics at play here?  Truly a masterstroke by Obama.  Taking the do-no-wrong echo chamber mentality and turning it against the Republicans themselves.  Truly brilliant.

And, the best part is that the right is so caught up in trying to defend a radio host that they cannot even see what is happening to them right in front of their eyes.  It is a beautiful political play that has the Republicans looking helpless and without any true ideas or direction and it only took Barack a month.  Wow.  Very impressive.

Rush is single-handedly destroying the party he claims to care about and all the Democrats have to do is stand back, paint him as the real voice of Republicans every now and then, and watch the party self-immolate.

When a man like Steele has to go back to Rush and apologise, hat-in-hand, for speaking his TRUTH, you know that the GOP is about ready to flatline.

Regardless of what conservative logic around Rush's comments is, the truth is that to the mainstream American public, who are hurting from the worst economic downturn in decades and facing an environmental apocalypse to boot, it sounds like he's basically wanting their lives to just get worse. And any Republican who agrees with him will be seen in the same light.

The fact that the Republican leadership is actually cow-towing to this man? A priceless gift for the Democrats since... hey... whose gonna vote for a gutless boob who wants America to fail except the most vociferous of neo-cons? Bring on the swing voters and the independents. Cause they're all voting Democrats next election fellas.

If they keep letting a man like Rush speak for them (and they keep kissing his proverbial)... the GOP is history. For a long, long time. And actually, despite being very left wing, I can't think that this is good for the country. We need a cross-section of reasonable, practical ideas in the world. Acting like they are... the GOP are no good to anybody. And guess what, that suits Rush to a tee since he'll have a bully-pit to speak from. Who would take him seriously if the GOP actually found its moderate footing and became a serious political force?
