Unsolicited but sincere advice for Coach Holtz:
You want to get into the business of broadcasting your political opinions at the American People, on Fox News Channel no less?
Be careful coach: from Minnesota to Arkansas to Notre Dame to South Carolina, I've had as high an opinion and an admiration for you, as a football coach... but if you want to cross the line and join the ranks of the media hacks and stooges at Fox News Channel, I (and millions like me I'm sure) will hate your guts for the rest of our days or for the rest of yours, whichever end first.
There's nothing like jarring people's senses into realizing how truly unimportant and small are accomplishments on the football field, than by giving your political opinion to them, from rupert murdoch's broadcast platform: it can swing the public's opinion about you, faster than a weathervane in a cyclone... true.
Take me for example: all I had to do was see you in this video clip, playing the chuckling stooge alongside sean hannity, in order to erase most if not all I know of you as a coach, and replace it with you as an FNC stooge working against our good efforts to reduce the terribly serious health hazard of tailpipe emissions.
It's simply a matter of priorities, Coach Holtz... I'm sure you can understand.
I was flipping between Fox and MSNBC last night and Olbermann/Maddow had discussions on real news, such as Bush's dictatorship memos.
Hannity had as his guests Newt and Dick Morris.
