Any more so than you *ahem*, "bent over backwards and grab the ankles, forwards backwards or what ever," for the Bush admin?
Conservative talk only cared about keeping Kerry and Gore out of office, yet after their job was done, they conveniently seemed to ignore the rediculous budgets, irresponsible spending, mishandling of the war, and I can go on and on. And all in the name of what, and dont say conservative principles, I know what true conservatism is, and what Rush and that administration exhibited is/are not. Patriotism? Defeating Liberalism? Puh-lease!
So I guess, Rush, that the current media is just returning the favor that you exhibited during the previous 8 years. You should be proud, they are following your example...
"Butt boys for Obama". The same way you were a butt boy for Bush for eight years, Rush? Or the same way Michael Steele is a butt boy for you?
(I apologize for that last one - nasty visual.)
"These mainstream media people, the drive-bys inside the Beltway ... They are butt boys for the Obama administration"
- Rush Limbaugh, Republican butt boy
FOX NEWS SAYS Of RUSH LIMBAUGH:
"Not low brow!"
"Exciting for a great many Americans to listen to."
Limbaugh used to be in advertising at one point - he thinks in bumper stickers and one-liners.
I've never understood the term either. I even asked a Limbaugh fan to explain it to me. The conversation went something like this:
Me: "What does the phrase 'drive-by media' supposed to mean?"
Him: "That's just what Rush calls the MSM."
Me: "Yes, but what is it supposed to mean?"
Him: "The mainstream media."
Me: "Yeah, I get that, but I don't understand what "drive-by" is supposed to mean in this context."
Him: "Uh...Like the big news channels and newspapers."
Me: "Brilliant." Turns and walks away.
Rachel Maddow blows anyone away on TV right now too. There is no Fox News propaganda megaphone with her interviews or questions. She grills dems harder than Republicans too. Go Figure.
With all due respect to Liberals, Olbermann and Matthews are far from them. Stephanie Miller and the like HATE Chris Matthews, and Olbermann really just got his fame from hating on Bush (very well I will add). That by no means makes him Liberal, the man obviously doesn't even really care about politics since he admits he doesn't vote.
As far as republicans go, the wont go on Keiths show, and Rachel has said PLENTY of times that they REFUSE to go on her show as well. But I commend a guy like Pawlenty who seems to like her for going on the show twice since she's been on the air.

So if Hannity didn't vote, or if a prominent conservative hated Hannity, would that make his views any less conservative? I have some liberal views, but I've never felt a tingle going up my leg after Obama speaks as Matthews has.
Olbermann doesn't just hate Bush, watch his Worst Persons in the World segments and count how many Republicans there are compared to Democrats. He fawns over his liberal guests and hardly ever speaks bad about Obama. And you can't watch his 12 minute long Special Comments and say he doesn't care about politics. He doesn't vote to appear like an objective journalist, at least that's what he says and I think he's a sincere guy so I believe him.
Maybe Republican elected officials don't want to come on his show, but I bet some conservative journalist, think tank fellow, radio personality, or blogger would love to get a little publicity by getting on TV. People love being on TV.
I may agree with liberal views more, but I'd be lying if I said MSNBC wasn't the liberal answer to Fox News.
Amazing...
Watching the train wreck called the GOP fall off the tracks with El Rushbo at the controls is fascinating in a morbid kind of way. I guess we can just stand back to watch and hope we don't get hit by flying body parts...
