So, to be clear -- when auto makers ask for assistance, Republicans blame "overpaid" union workers and demand that the employees accept wage and benefit reductions that were guaranteed by their contract.

When executives at an insurance or financial services company ask for assistance, Republicans assert that the government is not permitted to even SUGGEST non-payment, deferment or reductions in their BONUSES (not wages or pensions) on the grounds that the executives have binding contracts with their employers.

Republicans -- if you want to take part in governing, if you want to win future elections, you should know that hypocrisy is not a method.

Hey, if the administration wants to find me, they know how to locate me via a warrantless search of the Internet, phone records and libraries. They know how to detain me indefinitely without charges and without a lawyer.

Oh, wait -- that was the BUSH administration!

I think I'll be OK, even if Limbaugh and Beck do have the Bush and Obama roles reversed and claim to see Obama internment camps around every corner.

Typical Rush, twist the investigation of "The Mother of all Enron like Robberies" into an abuse of power issue. The US government PWNS AIG, you sniveling hyena! That is what Rush does, he sniffs the breeze for the stench of corruption, if the beast was slain by a democrat he defends the coruption. If a Republican AG was heading this investigation he would be thier biggest cheerleader. Be sure to listen to him chortle, wheeze and giggle at his own pathetic attempts at humour. This person has zero respect, not one scintilla for the rule of law.

I am the token liberal on a Rush station (KSCO Santa Cruz) and never had the time to assemble his BS and offer it to my audience. Now, I have this stuff to replay and comment upon.

update for you: in  the WSJ "President Barack Obama, trying to contain a political firestorm, instructed Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to "pursue every legal avenue" to block $165 million in bonuses to American International Group Inc. executives who were in part responsible for the company's near collapse.

So there goes Rush's argument that Obama has Cuomo doing his dirty work. In fact, many in the Obama WH are going after these crooks. This is Enron all over again. The smartest and brightest using their brains to steal!

Well, in the past all you had to do was tune in Rush's show at any random time. He'll either be talking trivia or he'll be only seconds away from his next lie. Catch him on a non-trivia day and it's no work at all.

It's pretty simple. AIG is headquartered in New York, so the New York Attorney General is investigating the obscene payments to these folks. The Feds gave AIG a bunch of money, so the Obama Administration is looking into it too.
