SUCCESSFUL earners? I'm sorry, but WHAT?

Since when is destroying a company and nearly the entire economy with it considered a success?

What ARE these guys, anyway... derivative traders or Al Qaeda?

First of all they did not earn this money and they don't deserve it. If these people were actually making enough money for AIG to even earn their base salaries then AIG wouldn't have needed to be bailed out in the first place.  These people nearly brought the company and the entire economy to it's knees.  They should have been fired.  Not retained.  And certainly not paid a minimum $1M bonus to stay.
