I almost thought about joining AmeriCorps, but then backed out since I didn't want to get out of school

So sick.....and just when good things are finally beginning to happen for our country. God forbid Oreilly, Hannity, or Beck could ever say anything positive. Americans need to send them a message and never, ever tune in to Fox News cable channel.

I think ol' Glenn's right on this one. A program that indoctrinates young people into the benefits of volunteer service that benefit the country and the world, with the only major reward being the satisfaction of contributing to a better society? Why, this could divorce individualism from selfishness! Glenn and his friends should give it a try. He should start by talking to the much-maligned Chris Dodd, the only member of Congress to serve in both the military and the Peace Corps, and a prime mover behind this idea.

I really figured he would have mentioned the Vitter amendment that would stopped all funds going to ACORN(they haven't taken Americorps funds in a decade) and any of it's affiliates(anybody in the same building as ACORN wouldn't recieve funds), and how it goteasily got killed.

      BAWWWWWWWW BECK BAWWWWWWW
