O'Lielly advises UPS to wise up

They did. They stopped sponsoring is show.

Good for them. It's nice to see an example in this day and age of a corporation doing the right thing.

Wow, that was pretty much all one big lie. He's completely transferred criticism of his own ugly comments into an "evil attack" on the Alexa Foundation. He knows this is a bald-faced lie. His (self)righteous indignation would earn him an Oscar if they handed out Academy Awards for Best Acting on a News Program.

Do you support the protesting of an organization that supports the victims of rape and their families? I know you are not the brightest of souls but surely even you might question that action.

Exactly. They were protesting O'Reilly speaking at their foundation, as not a good spokesperson for Alexa Foundation, him being one of being accused of, and settling out of court over sexual harassment for one thing, and him blaming victims for their rape as another.

They were protesting the org, specifically the selection of O'Reilly, they had petitions , which drew little support, they contacted NOW and some student groups in South Florida, again with little results because their cause was bogus. Their intention was to have a public demonstration at the Ritz Carlton and the foundation was made aware of it. Alexa B, the rape victim who the foundation spoke of the distress that their actions caused her, but why worry about her right, lefties are only concerned about victims when it serves their purpose. And Alexa was quite grateful to O'Reilly for his support, shouldn't that matter, I guess to you it does not. What a big heart you have, you must be proud.

Well, Fauxliberal, I noticed that you haven't addressed a single one of the despicable statements that O'Lielly has made about a couple of rape victims, or of his documented history of sexual harassment, which ARE WHAT THIS WHOLE ISSUE IS FREAKIN' ABOUT! By ANY reasonable standard, O'Lielly was an inaproprate choice to be a speaker at a fundraiser for a rape victim's rights organization. Please address the CONTENT of O'Lielly's comments blaming rape victims for their assaults. All you've done so far is bash actual liberals and made a series of unsubstantiated accusations, claiming that an amorphous 'they' have attacked this group. Who the hell are THEY? Be specific, because, so far, you have failed to link ANY of the people that O'Lielly has cited as having protested against the foundation.

I'm wondering at this point if you are an employee of Faux News, possibly working for O'Lielly himself. Is this the case? Are you indeed one of Faux News' paid trolls, here to misdirect the thread and advance Faux propoganda?

First off the whole premise of your argument is totally false, O'Reilly never blamed the victim, he did rightfully point out  that her behavior was a magnet to the predators out there. Don't you think it is reasonable to assume that a drunk and defenseless woman would be more likely to be attacked that a sober and able bodied one.  He also described the killer as a thug if I remember correctly.  Do you think her behavior was prudent? Maybe in your progressive dreamworld we should teach young women to get drunk and dress provocatively and then venture into dangerous areas but it can only be described as foolish behavior. And his pointing out the actions might prevent someone else from making the same mistake, it is certainly a possibility.  The context here is not what he said but the manner in which you choose to interpret it.

I didn't think that you'd address my questions, Fauxliberal. Still, by your reckoning, O'Lielly was being little more than a kindly uncle when he publicly  referred to the murdered female rape victim as "moronic". I'm sure her family members were all heartened by that characterization during their time of profound grief. And when he vehemently asserted that the boy who had been kidnapped and repeatedly and violently raped had not called the authorities because he was having more fun with his rapist than he had been living with his parents, that was simply ANOTHER example of him standing up compassionately for a rape victim. He sneered at the idea that the boy had been too terrified by his assaulter to come forward, or that he may have been suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, dismissing that all as psychobabble.

I couldn't help but notice that, dispite being challenged by multiple posters on this thread to cite some examples of your own little assertion, you were unable to name ANY of the "they" who you (and O'Lielly) claimed "attacked" the It Happened to Alexa Foundation. I think that we can take that as an acknowlegement that your claim was completely without merit, and that the criticism HAD been (properly) directed at O'Lielly.

And, as to my rather pointed question about whether you work for Faux News... since you do seem to be serving as an apologist for them and O'Lielly... I see that you ignored that one too. People will just have to draw their own conclusions about that.

When Bill O'Reilly rips "Stuart Smalley" is he ripping the USO?  Your argument seems to suggest he is, unless you have no clue what yu are talking about.  If I was Zucker or Podesta I would come on O'Reilly's show and battle him over this one.  He is the one who suggested a woman dressed a certain way shouldn't be surprised by getting raped and killed.  He is the one who suggested a child enjoyed being sodomized and kidnapped.  He is the one who settled a sexual harrasment suit in the millions.  Go on his show and discuss all three issues.  He will blow a gasket and possibly destroy his career once and for all.

Oh, it MORE than occurs to him, Shaggles. He's simply hurling rape victims at his critics as if they were stones. O'Lielly is a narcissist and sociopath who will unflinchingly use battered and badly damaged women to shield him from the consequences of his own deplorable statements. Just as he frequently wraps himself in the flag, so too does he wrap himself in the suffering of others, as if their pain was his chainmail.

He doesn't do this out of stupidity. Rather, it is an act of soullessness on his part.
