Caller criticizes Limbaugh, Hannity, etal, on torture: "It's like you're all brainwashed"

So this guy is NOT a republican because he doesn't want the US to torture people? OK Rush. Once again, proving to the world, you're an idiot.

I'm thinking that this caller will probably not be given another opportunity to speak on Ol'Fathead's show.

 

This caller proves 2 things:

1) Not all Republicans are pro-torture morons.

2) Rush can dish it out but he can't take it.

Good for him.

He is not a "real" veteran.  He is not a "real" Republican.  However, he REALLY beat up on Rush.  Rush has never heard of us killing a prisoner from torture.  From March 2005 AP:

It doesn't surprise me either. Before the shameful latter part of McCain's campaign, even I had some respect for the man. Then he decided that he had to become a Real Republican to get the Rush-listeners votes, and got Palin on board, and the rest is history.

I believe during the [unintelligible] part, Rush was saying this: "That was to keep the chaos in--that was in the Democrat Primary!"  I can't be too sure; it's pretty hard to make out, and Rush was stumbling over his words pretty badly.  But, as far as I can tell, that's the unintelligible bit.

I love that Rush can't seem to understand that there are Republicans that disagree with him.  That's my favorite part of this whole clip.  People disagree with him because they're all brainwashed and stupid, not because he's a polarizing fear-monger, oh, no!  And then he cuts off the guy to chastise him,  and the whole "I voted for McCain" goes right over his head as he insults a proud veteran and calls him a fake Republican.

Hmm, Rush diidn't like being called a nazi, its understandable who does like being referred to Nazis, so then he cut the caller off and responded back with insults, calling him stupid and ignorant.

 O.k so why couldn't Obama think that the continous, stupid and ignorant comments spoken by Rush aren'y nice, after all Rush has used nazi references, among others when talking about Obama, couldn't Obama decide to shut down, censor, or monitor Rush's show?

Well no, thats not really the right thing to do is it?, I mean censorship, public figures have to deal with criticism, its a fact and a small downside to being in the public eye and earning good money.

I'd imagine Rush's audience do really need mental help, or else he's is listened to because he's controversial, hell, MM has a whole segment on him daily, he's a character, and a great one, but NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, relevant to any issue in America.

Actually I feel a bit sorry for Republicans and their ideology, because those that are intellectual, and can reason why liberals aren't doing something right, are being drownded out by Rush, Hannity, Coulter and Beck, and their ideologies and principles are being overshadowed by hyperactive personalities, even when Republicans could still probably help the country.

Wow, Rush is way out there in left field.  Ok not even in the parking lot.  I am a veteran, 26 years of service to my country and what Rush did was the dumbest thing I have heard.  He and Hannity and the rest of the blow hards just dont get it.  This is why the Republican party is in such a bad way.  And for the person that sais water boarding is not torture, let one of your friends that think like you do experiment with you and see how it feels then get back on and say it is not torture.  America is about leading, having moral values not just stupid Rush and Hannity or Orielly and Beck's comments

Many in my family have served in the Air Force, Navy and Army, and each has turned against the Republican party on the torture issue (among other issues). 

This Marine is a great reminder of the true honor and courage of our service men and women.  It would be easy to pull out all the stops when you read about so many soldiers being maimed and killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  But we are Americans and we draw a hard line on human rights and honor. 

Yes, we have allowed ourselves many times to be led astray from our core values, and this has been one such time.  But we have always fought our way back.  Let's keep to the path and not be distracted by extremist points of view, like Limbaugh, and other fake Americans.  They only care about political power, not about American values and standards. 

These fakes applied Rovian philosophy to running the country on a purely political purpose to gain and hold power.  This is the definition of fascism (beligerent nationalism and dictatorship) that has been the ruination of many great societies.  It won't be our downfall.  We can and shall overcome this, too.

It's really remarkable that Rush got completely owned on his own show. I used to listen to a lot of talk radio (out of curiousity, I have never been a rightard nor a Rethuglican) and the fact is that talk radio hosts never fight fair. The thinking is, it's their show and they can do what they want, including talking over callers, throwing up strawmen, and generally being a verbal bully.

Apparently this caller threw Rush for a loop and even with his years of experience in broadcasting, he had no good comeback for this caller and couldn't even engage in the usual talking-over-the-caller or cutting them off shenanigans which makes a talk show such hostile territory to non-sycophantic callers.

Maybe Rushbo didn't get his supply of hillbilly heroin this week and he's not at 100%.

Or maybe he got too much.

An earlier poster complained that the Marine was a "plant". The poster  is clearly a brainwashed dittohead. The poster must(?) know that the only way to get past Rush's (nearly impenetrable) screening is to verbally pledge allegiance to the Republican homeland and the fat, drug-addled butt on which it sits.

But the caller knew what he was doing. He made his point forcefully and quickly and he really didn't give El Rushbo an opportunity to interrupt until he was finished. The he dominated  in the expected  Limbaugh interruption campaign.

If the audio provided is complete,it's clear Rushiepoo hung up on the caller before he (ElRushbo) attacked him with his ignorant rant. 

The Marine was no plant. He was one of the few who get past the snerdlies. One of the few callers to that program who has a brain.  He was telling truth to Limpbungler's  "power" in the Republican Party.

Charles from Chicago made it through the lines, and he did a job on the Republican Blimp.Bless'im.

Ha, ha,ha! Good one. Rush is a pathetic excuse for a human being. He may have dropped the caller but Charles won. By the way, only corporatists consider people commodities. We should be very grateful however in the fact that Rush has failed to reproduce and there will be no future Rush, Jr.  We weren't as lucky with the Bush familty.

I have listened to this and read the transcript. I cannot come up with a word or phrase to describe Rush.

Calling Rush a nazi, if you are tacitly referring to his repeating the lie until it becomes truth, is exactly what Joe Goebbels claimed as the operative propaganda of nazi Germany. If you want to take a wild guess as to the question, brainwashed or laundromat owner, who pays Rush 400 Million to be oddly inaccurate, and consistently on the side of the looney right? Yes, Rush may be the ultimate patriot, but evidence is a bit thin. How about some truth ? Since he never wore any uniform other than the banker suit, let him disclose his charitable donations to veterans and or their organizations that show up on his tax forms. Charles, man what planet do you live on? I am a Veteran and I am female. And don't tell Rush but I am an Independant. Rush I had no idea that you controlled so many Republican voters and that you are the reason they lost. I did not see you at the vote counts. Anyway this Charles talks about Brainwashed and keeps saying he was  a Marine, well the most common used phrase among the military was "Those Brain Washed Marines". I have absolutely no problem with it. the safety of my country and my family depends on information obtained from enemy prisoners I would have no problem torturing them. Now define torture. I have no problem torturing people that behead soldiers, men, women and children, rape nuns and I could go on and on. But you say we should rise above that not stoop to their level. Well heck no for a couple of reasons. First off he came on the scene a little to fast, with a lot of hidden things but he is a good convincer, manipulator, orator. The second being is that I would not be a part of history if I voted for him for the reason he is NOT our first Black president. In the UNited States the law states that any child born is legally the race of their birth mother and that will be listed on their birth certificate. So Obama is legally not Black race he is White race with a tan. That really is the law. So another question would be, Who is the real racist? Everyone who is calling him Black, Afro American because his skin color but legally he is white so all those people saying that are the real racist, they judging him only by his skin color.  But he is the guilty one trying to fool people just to get the black vote. I have several 'Black' friends that didn't fall for that and knew that he is full of bull and did not represent their race and they were to smart to vote based soley on race. That is like I should have voted for Hillary Clinton just becaue I am a woman and so is she, forget it! Lets face it our choices for Presidential nominees every election is getting worse and worse, we simply are not getting much to choose from. By the way Charles you referred to Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin and Hewitt as "sour grapes" a lesson here is that the most sour grapes makes the sweetest wines. I am like RUsh I have never heard of any of 'our' prisoners being killed can you name some. I think the guards of the prison in Iraq that were tried and convicted I believe they should have been given medals and the guy that took the pictures and smuggled them out and prospered from them should have been tried for treason. It is now convienent to spout what legally constitutes a black or white man. I wonder if Obama's mom was black and father white, and he (Obama) looked every bit a White man, would you make an issue of he being Black. I am sure you would consider him to be white.

By the way I am sure before Obama's arrival you considered all mixed raced people with Black or white parents irrespective of their hue to be black.

Now I agree that sometimes one needs to get the truth by whatever means neccessary, so on some points I am at odds with obama on that, but its either you are for torture or not.
