Caller criticizes Limbaugh, Hannity, etal, on torture: "It's like you're all brainwashed"
LIMBAUGH: We're going to go to Chicago. This is Charles. Charles, thank you for waiting and for calling. Great to have you here. Hello.
CALLER: Thanks, Rush. Rush, listen, I voted Republican, and I didn't -- really didn't want to see Obama get in office. But, you know, Rush, you're one reason to blame for this election, for the Republicans losing.
First of all, you kept harping about voting for Hillary. The second big issue is the -- was the torture issue. I'm a veteran. We're not supposed to be torturing these people. This is not Nazi Germany, Red China, or North Korea. There's other ways of interrogating people, and you kept harping about it -- "It's OK," or "It's not really torture." And it was just more than waterboarding. Some of these prisoners were killed under torture.
And it just -- it was crazy for you to keep going on and on like Levin and Hannity and Hewitt. It's like you're all brainwashed.
And my last comment is, no matter what Obama does, you will still criticize him because I believe you're brainwashed. You're just -- and I hate to say it -- but I think you're a brainwashed Nazi. Anyone who could believe in torture just has got to be - there's got to be something wrong with them.
LIMBAUGH: You know --
CALLER: And I know Bush wanted to keep us safe and all of that, but we're not supposed to be torturing these people.
LIMBAUGH: Charles, if anybody is admitting that they're brainwashed it would be you.
CALLER: No, no, no, Rush. I don't think so.
LIMBAUGH: Charles. Charles, Charles --
CALLER: You, Hannity, Hewitt, and Levin are all brainwashed and you know it.
LIMBAUGH: -- you said -- you said at the beginning of your phone call --
CALLER: Yeah.
LIMBAUGH: -- that you didn't want Obama in there --
CALLER: That's right.
LIMBAUGH: -- but you voted for him because of me.
CALLER: I didn't vote for him. I voted for McCain. I voted Republican.
LIMBAUGH: Oh, so --
CALLER: I voted Republican.
LIMBAUGH: -- you're saying I turned people off to --
CALLER: You turned people off with all your -- all this "vote for Hillary" and all this BS, because you must think people are really stupid.
LIMBAUGH: That was Operation Chaos. That was to keep the --
CALLER: You -- no. It didn't work.
LIMBAUGH: -- chaos in the [unintelligible] of the Democrat primaries.
CALLER: It didn't work. And now what we have with you Hannity, Levin, and Hewitt: sour grapes. That's all we have. And believe me, I'm not -- I'm more to the right than I am to the left.
LIMBAUGH: Oh, of course, you are.
CALLER: I am, and that's --
LIMBAUGH: Of course, you are. You wouldn't be calling here with all these sour grapes if you weren't.
CALLER: Well, I'm so tired of listening to you --
LIMBAUGH: Oh, of course, you are.
CALLER: -- go on and on with this -- you've been brainwashed.
LIMBAUGH: I don't know of anybody who died from torture. I do not ever --
CALLER: We are not supposed to torture people.
LIMBAUGH: I do not ever --
CALLER: Do you remember World War II, the Nazis? The Nuremberg Trials?
LIMBAUGH: I --
CALLER: Do you remember the Nuremberg Trials?
LIMBAUGH: Charles --
CALLER: Klaus Barbie?
LIMBAUGH: Charles, let me say --
CALLER: Huh?
LIMBAUGH: Barack Obama --
CALLER: What's the matter with you?
LIMBAUGH: Barack --
CALLER: You never even served in a military.
LIMBAUGH: Barack Obama is --
CALLER: I served in the Marine Corps and the Army.
LIMBAUGH: Charles, Barack Obama is president of the United States today because of stupid, ignorant people who think like you do. You pose -- you and your ignorance are the most expensive commodity this country has. You think you know everything. You don't know diddly-squat.
You call me a Nazi? You call me somebody who supports torture and you want credibility on this program? You know, you're just plain embarrassing and ludicrous. But it doesn't surprise me that you're the kind of Republican that our last candidate attracted. Because you're no Republican at all based on what the hell you've said here.

Media Matters: The Palin chronicles
The Friday Rush: A series of conflicts
Contrary to media hype, Sarah Palin is very unpopular

Ol'Fathead is getting pounded from all directions...
I'm thinking that this caller will probably not be given another opportunity to speak on Ol'Fathead's show.
This caller proves 2 things:
1) Not all Republicans are pro-torture morons.
2) Rush can dish it out but he can't take it.
Good for him.
He is not a "real" veteran. He is not a "real" Republican. However, he REALLY beat up on Rush. Rush has never heard of us killing a prisoner from torture. From March 2005 AP:
At least 108 people have died in American custody in Iraq and Afghanistan, most of them violently, according to government data provided to The Associated Press. Roughly a quarter of those deaths have been investigated as possible abuse by U.S. personnel.
Rush, that's just because you're lazy and incurious. If you had actually read the reports about our detention and interrogation sites, you WOULD know of dozens of people who have died.
But that would be inconvenient, so you choose to remain blissfully ignorant, and pretend that torture is not only effective, but morally right. It isn't, and it isn't.
It doesn't surprise me either. Before the shameful latter part of McCain's campaign, even I had some respect for the man. Then he decided that he had to become a Real Republican to get the Rush-listeners votes, and got Palin on board, and the rest is history.
Rush, you're right about one thing - you are what real Republicans are like these days. Let's not forget that.
"You call me a Nazi?" Um, no.
"You're the kind of Republican that our last candidate attracted" Um, no.
Rush lost round zero of a debate with a random stranger.
And reading it again, the caller was way off base. Brainwashed people don't lie. Rush is a water-carrier.
"you're no Republican at all based on what the hell you've said here" -- Rush apparently thinks that interrogation techniques were near the top of Reagan and Gingrich's platform. Like terrorism itself, it wasn't even the tiniest dot on the radar until the opportunity came to exploit it.
So... unless I'm mistaken, Rush just called the Marine Corps veteran stupid and brainwashed.
Awesome.
Nice to hear El Rushbo finally say out loud what the rest of us have been saying for a long, long time: Rush Limbaugh determines who is a 'true' Republican.
And that is determined by how much you agree with whatever Rush Limbaugh says. It has nothing to do with your official party registration or for whom you voted in the last election or your voting habits over a lifetime.
Disagree with Rush, and you're not a Republican.
Enjoy that small and ever-shrinking tent, GOP'ers. We Democrats will be happy to have the votes of all those politically incorrect Republicans.
Caller: You served your country because you love it, and you know what we are about.
My best regards for your courage and service - Love from a Marine Mom.
I believe during the [unintelligible] part, Rush was saying this: "That was to keep the chaos in--that was in the Democrat Primary!" I can't be too sure; it's pretty hard to make out, and Rush was stumbling over his words pretty badly. But, as far as I can tell, that's the unintelligible bit.
I love that Rush can't seem to understand that there are Republicans that disagree with him. That's my favorite part of this whole clip. People disagree with him because they're all brainwashed and stupid, not because he's a polarizing fear-monger, oh, no! And then he cuts off the guy to chastise him, and the whole "I voted for McCain" goes right over his head as he insults a proud veteran and calls him a fake Republican.
Wow. The Republican Party, and the conservative movement in general, rests in the hands of a thin-skinned moron.
Way to minimize torture. Submit yourself for waterboarding, I'll ask the questions and decide when it's over, then we'll talk about "water in the nose".
You'll be wetting the pink panties you will tell me you wear to feel pretty in 5 minutes, tough guy.
I'll grant you that it's possible that this call was not being honest about who he is if you'll grant me the possibility that he is exactly who he says he is.
There are many Republicans who are disgusted by our nation torturing people. There are many on the right who hated to lose our civil liberties in a wasted attempt to protect us from terrorists - the cost was not worth the protection provided.
And waterboarding is undeniably torture. Undeniable, that is, to anyone lviing in the real world.
I know it's pound on fattie time right now but I can't let this pass...
Not being a Vet precludes NO ONE from criticizing the military or veterans.
You may not like it but that's just tough sh!t.
The "rules" regarding criticizing our troops really have changed now that we have a Democratic majority.
Hey Heatshield - Open the good eye. People died. Dozens of them from torture.
Ever hear of Google? Then use it. Look up the names of the Japanese that were put to death for using waterboarding on Americans during WW2. Americans do not torture nor tolerate those that do.
I'm an Army vet and used to be a self described independent. Never again. I am now a leftie who believes the tree of America has been bent way too far to the right. Time to bend it hard left.
Hmm, Rush diidn't like being called a nazi, its understandable who does like being referred to Nazis, so then he cut the caller off and responded back with insults, calling him stupid and ignorant.
O.k so why couldn't Obama think that the continous, stupid and ignorant comments spoken by Rush aren'y nice, after all Rush has used nazi references, among others when talking about Obama, couldn't Obama decide to shut down, censor, or monitor Rush's show?
Well no, thats not really the right thing to do is it?, I mean censorship, public figures have to deal with criticism, its a fact and a small downside to being in the public eye and earning good money.
I'd imagine Rush's audience do really need mental help, or else he's is listened to because he's controversial, hell, MM has a whole segment on him daily, he's a character, and a great one, but NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, relevant to any issue in America.
Actually I feel a bit sorry for Republicans and their ideology, because those that are intellectual, and can reason why liberals aren't doing something right, are being drownded out by Rush, Hannity, Coulter and Beck, and their ideologies and principles are being overshadowed by hyperactive personalities, even when Republicans could still probably help the country.
Wheres the party's leaders? The brains of the group?
Many in my family have served in the Air Force, Navy and Army, and each has turned against the Republican party on the torture issue (among other issues).
This Marine is a great reminder of the true honor and courage of our service men and women. It would be easy to pull out all the stops when you read about so many soldiers being maimed and killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. But we are Americans and we draw a hard line on human rights and honor.
Yes, we have allowed ourselves many times to be led astray from our core values, and this has been one such time. But we have always fought our way back. Let's keep to the path and not be distracted by extremist points of view, like Limbaugh, and other fake Americans. They only care about political power, not about American values and standards.
These fakes applied Rovian philosophy to running the country on a purely political purpose to gain and hold power. This is the definition of fascism (beligerent nationalism and dictatorship) that has been the ruination of many great societies. It won't be our downfall. We can and shall overcome this, too.
Apparently this caller threw Rush for a loop and even with his years of experience in broadcasting, he had no good comeback for this caller and couldn't even engage in the usual talking-over-the-caller or cutting them off shenanigans which makes a talk show such hostile territory to non-sycophantic callers.
Maybe Rushbo didn't get his supply of hillbilly heroin this week and he's not at 100%.
An earlier poster complained that the Marine was a "plant". The poster is clearly a brainwashed dittohead. The poster must(?) know that the only way to get past Rush's (nearly impenetrable) screening is to verbally pledge allegiance to the Republican homeland and the fat, drug-addled butt on which it sits.
But the caller knew what he was doing. He made his point forcefully and quickly and he really didn't give El Rushbo an opportunity to interrupt until he was finished. The he dominated in the expected Limbaugh interruption campaign.
If the audio provided is complete,it's clear Rushiepoo hung up on the caller before he (ElRushbo) attacked him with his ignorant rant.
The Marine was no plant. He was one of the few who get past the snerdlies. One of the few callers to that program who has a brain. He was telling truth to Limpbungler's "power" in the Republican Party.
Charles from Chicago made it through the lines, and he did a job on the Republican Blimp.Bless'im.
"LIMBAUGH: I don't know of anybody who died from torture."
There is no brain to wash.
jrstas
But for real though. What on EARTH made the Republicans believe they were ever even a little competitive in the presidential election this year? They started off with a half dozen in the egg carton, then after the primaries, they were down to John McCain. But wait, there's more! He and Big Rush picked (drum roll, please) Sarah Palin! Sarah Palin? The fool that waves at Putin when he "rears" his head as he flies through Alaska airspace! OMG! And these guys are criticizing what and who? Are they so devoid of the truth that they simple can't recognize it anymore? My goodness. The only possible office any of these idiots run for in 2012 is the hills! They simply aren't ready.
Rush Limbaugh is without a doubt the ugliest kind of human on earth. He is a hate monger who enjoys spreading nasty rumors, hate comments and stirs up fear to those who will listen to him. I am a 7 year veteran and I work for many causes in my community. I know so many people that spend their days doing good for the earth. Rush does nothing but self promote his inner ugliness and hatred to those who will actually pay to hear it. He is disgusting. Thank God that most of America is so much better than that, and that he ranks among the lowest. It wouldnt surprise me if he slithered in and out of his radio station each day.
It is now convienent to spout what legally constitutes a black or white man. I wonder if Obama's mom was black and father white, and he (Obama) looked every bit a White man, would you make an issue of he being Black. I am sure you would consider him to be white.
By the way I am sure before Obama's arrival you considered all mixed raced people with Black or white parents irrespective of their hue to be black.
Now I agree that sometimes one needs to get the truth by whatever means neccessary, so on some points I am at odds with obama on that, but its either you are for torture or not.
You may be a veteran, but when it comes to the white/Black thing I think you are being hypocritical.
