      But, never forget, herr dubyah single handedly won the "war on terror" and made a brilliant carrier landing...I don't think the Navy had much to do with it.

      Obama gave the green light to take them out. The snipers (probably SEALs I'm sure), took the shot when the good captain's life was in danger. So, for this one small mission, done and done. 3 bad guys, dead. Good riddance. Thing is, this might provoke them into more hijackings, and possibly killing some of the hostages that they do have, so I do believe that we, and other nautical nations (UK for example) are going to have to ride "shotgun" on shipping in the region, and maintain calm. One or 2 small warships in that region can have an effect on what the pirates do, or do not do in my opinion. Sink a few ships that the pirates use to carry out these hijackings, and I'm thinking you'll see a change.

      Now wait for the conspiracy theory that someone got these pirates to go after the U.S. ship so that Obama could demonstrate his CIC abilities. Somewhere in the blogosphere that seed must have been planted by now.
