From the April 14 edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe:

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: After a statewide recount and a seven-week trial, a Minnesota court is confirming Democrat Al Franken won the U.S. Senate race against Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: OK, I don’t mean to keep interrupting your news, but when are the Republicans going to give up the ghost on this?

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.

SCARBOROUGH: Seriously. Norm, I like you. You lost, OK?

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.

SCARBOROUGH: Can we -- can we seat a senator so --

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah, we need -- we need to --

SCARBOROUGH: -- Amy doesn’t have to do the job of two senators. This is not --

BRZEZINSKI: Poor [Sen.] Amy Klobuchar [D-MN].

SCARBOROUGH: Seriously, it’s not fair to the --

BRZEZINSKI: It’s not.

SCARBOROUGH: It is seriously not fair to constituents in Minnesota to drag this out any longer.

BRZEZINSKI: I think that is true.

SCARBOROUGH: It’s over Norm, OK?

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.

SCARBOROUGH: It’s over. I’m sorry.

BRZEZINSKI: No, no, you’re right. Now that you’re allowed.

Of all the RW'ers out there, Joe Scar is always, by far, the most reasonable.  That's what's so depressing about how oftern he's gone off the deep end lately.  But THIS is a perfect example of why I can deal with (and sometimes even respect) Scar, even as I loathe all the others.

Scarborough tends to be reasonable roughly every other day.  He was a right-wing idiot yesterday, and we can pretty much count on him being a right-wing idiot tomorrow.  But Thursday's show should be pretty good.

Joe, you're confusing little Normie: just last month you were telling him Franken stole the election.

I wouldn't get too excited that Scar had a moment of sanity.  Heck, if the most radical extremists like Bernie Goldberg had a single moment of clarity last night.  These reich-wingers are still dangerously insane and suffering chronically from Obama Derangement Syndrome.

I am going to be a right winger for one moment and use the double standard argument.  Could you imagine this story if it would have been say, Chris Dodd playing the role of Norm Coleman and say, Larry Kudlow playing the role of Franken?  Oh my goodness,  Chris Dodd would be castigated as the "pampered liberal who refuses to come from atop his Senatorial perch" and Kudlow would have been "hindered from representing the people who decided they had had enough of the same old same old in Washington."  The only reason this has not ended before now is because Republicans hate Al Franken more than Democrats revile Rush Limbaugh.  Left wing talk radio may not be as succesful as right wing talk radio but from now on Al Franken will be known as Senator Al Franken.  That has to upset O'Reilly.

I'd like to see Joe say that to Coleman's face.  I bet he'd wimp out.

(Note: I think the "profanity filter" is a little too sensitive if I can't say 'pvssy out'.)
