So... it's now "news" that some people are sitting at home watching Fox News.

On her radio show this morning, Laura Ingraham had these choice nuggets:

"The media loves the antiwar protesters, but when real people protest, they look the other way or try to marginalize them."

"There's a protest set to take place at LaFayette Square, across from the White House, near the Professional Protesters, some of them have been there for years, I don't even know what they are protesting..."

Yeah, some of them have been there for years- one of them, for close to thirty years.  Laura Ingraham doesn't know what they are protesting because she doesn't give a damn, but I'll help her out by telling her they are protesting the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the use of war as a "tool of diplomacy."

Not that Ingraham really wanted that information.  They aren't "normal people," after all.

Those who protest war are "UNAMERICAN" and those that protest tax & spend are "REAL AMERICANS".

This is nothing new. This was the major theme of the presidential campaign in 2008.

I've been watching the "tea party" in my city online for a while now. Quite a turnout.

The speakers are all Republicans saying the EXACT same anti-tax/anti-government (and pro-military, of course) that Republicans always do.

It's exactly the same rhetoric that lost them the last election. Not sure what they think they're accomplishing with this, but aside from co-opting the "tea party" moniker which has very little to do with what they're doing, I have to say it's refreshing to see Americans out doing SOMETHING in a non-election year. I just wish it was something based on reality and not feverish anti-socialist fantasies.

One non-republican is speaking right now. He is Libertarian, and after a loudly cheered anti-tax speech he started talking about how wars are the greatest opportunity for government expansion. COMPLETE silence from the crowd. You could hear a pin drop. Then the crowd lost interest and started talking. I guess saying that wars cost a lot of tax payer money was just too much for them to bear.

That's because it's OK to spend their money on an illegal war on Iraq, but it's simply NOT OK to spend their money on America.

The war in Iraq was authorized by Congress and therefore was not an illegal war. If it was an illegal war why did the democrats not revoke the authorization for it when they assumed control of Congress in 2006?

Fox "News" moron "covering" the "Protest" at LaFayette Park-

"People here are fed up with high taxes, they are fed up with Government spending, and they are ENERGIZED!"

      Crowd: "WOOOO HOOOOO!!"

Cripes,  I feel like I'm watching MTV Spring Break.  Except that MTV Spring Break has more news value.

And here comes someone for this schmuck to interview- Laura Ingraham!  Gee, I wonder if she took the opportunity to meet with some of those "professional protesters" who "live in the park" that she complained about on her show earlier!

      Somehow I doubt it.
