Rivera: "What, Sean? Stop it. You're an American patriot, I know you, I love you... This is a nutjob statement!"

In one breath the Insean Manity asks doughy pantload about Perry's secession comments then in the next breath  Insean Manity is screeching "he didn't say it".   Jebus, these uneducated reich-wingers continue to prove that reality in their world is a moment-to-moment concept.

I especially like the moment where The Mannity says to Rivera... "let me educate you..."

And a sad day it is when Jonah Goldberg isn't the biggest intellectual embarrassment in any discussion to which he's a party.

Matthews' debate with DeLay was equally revealing-- and Matthews said the same thing about their nuttiness.

In all fairness, Rivera needs to shut it. He was talking way too much and overreacted over nothing. I mean, what Gov. Perry said is typical Republican talk.

I agree with the secessionists, though. This country has now been careening headlong into liberalism for thousands of minutes. How much more can we take? Some are even projecting that Obama will still be president two months from now.

Texans have been making noise about seccession forever.  I lived there for 7 years and was called yankee more time than I can count.

However, as I reminded them : If it wasn;'t for yankees they'd still be living in swamps, walking barefoot and picking their teeth with grass.

Yeah, I always heard the whole, "I'm from Texas. What country are you from?"

Sad truth is, these folks don't seem to realize how much the federal government pumps into Texas (80 some odd cents for every tax dollar they send into the federal government gets sent back to Texas). Take away their federal infrastructure. Take away their military bases. Take away their tax dollars. OK, go ahead, secede. You'll be back looking to get back into the union in about, oh, 5 days, or less once we force you back in.

Perry has proven himself a serious nutjob. Hannity, we knew that he was already. To talk of seceding from the union, is to actually be called a traitor to your country. If all of those "patriotic" Texans would like to be called that, I'm not so sure.

Let’s face it. With the power and control held by the Democrat and Republican parties there is little room for fresh ideas, let alone true representation. We divide the world into Liberal and Conservative.  What if a new party was formed that was based on personal freedom and states rights? If we suspect our current parties are taking us to a tyrannical conclusion, let’s take that issue head on.

The Democrats and Republicans currently control the game. Well let’s change the game!

When Geraldo and Goldberg are the voices of reason in a crowed right-wing nut panel...something is truely wrong.

Or right, depends on how you view it.

I think it's a wonderful idea, Republicans.  Push for secession.  Defend the right-wing extremist militias that the DHS is doing reports on.  Become one with the fringe.  Embrace it.  Oh, and good luck in the next election.  You're really doing quite well for yourselves.
