All that can be said about Karl Rove is that he better be praying every night that Eric Holder does not actually appoint a 'special prosecutor' to begin looking into ex-Alabama governor Don Seigelman getting politically screwed by Rove and his little group of henchmen... or even the torture memo's and Karl's place in that disgusting moment in American history!

Rove says "policy difference" here to downplay the fact that this is about torture. If the previous administration's policy was to disobey international laws that had been signed into federal laws, then what's at issue here is not "policy difference": what's at issue here is that the previous administration broke the law and should be held accountable.

Remember, the reason why Hannity has Rove on as much as he does is because they both operate on the same level. They both focus strongly on the vocabulary.

I absolutely 100% positively believe that all of this present memo nonsense is being driven by guys like rove, for the purpose of baiting what they call the "left" into trying to force the Obama administration and Congress into prosecuting Law enforcement officers.

If you were unhappy with the former administration of our Federal Government (and who wasn't), then I am happy to tell you they are gone, and there's a new Sheriff in town: but if you keep pressing that new Sheriff to investigate and prosecute his own current force of Deputies, then you are just doing the old Sheriff's dirty work for him: as their is nothing the former Bush administration (of which karl rove was a member) would like better, than to have President Obama chasing the ghosts of the Bush administration, and alienating his own Deputies in the process... and all because something called the "left" (of which the thing called MoveOn.org is the most sickening and destructive example), all because that "left" has a perverted sense of defense and security and Law enforcement, and are so easily baited into acting up and acting out, against the new Sheriff.

Move along folks, there's nothing to see here... go back to whatever it was you were doing... all's well, there's a new Sheriff in town: have a little faith brothers and sisters, you shouldn't bother yourselves with trying to micro-manage the security and defense functions of the U.S. Government, because frankly you're not qualified and you don't know what the freak you're even talking about anyway.

...and additionally: can you or anyone actually believe this, that it is "the authors of memos" that all of this nonsense is about?

        Memos?  The authors of memos?

Unbelievable: if there's anything in this world that doesn't bother me or make me want JUSTICE, it's a mere memo.

Amercans should get ready for the right wing spin machine to go into high gear trying  to defend the breaking of laws by the Bush administration in regard to the use of torture.

Conservatives seem to have a short memory of how a president was impeached because he lied about having sex with an intern while he was under  oath.

That waste of taxpayer money  was led by the Republican  congress and all the Clinton haters. Consevatves did not care that the  lie about sex with a consenting adult  by the President did not breach national security or how an impeachment trial  divided the country

Republicans preached to Amercans that the President broke the law and that he had to be punished for lying about sex while under oath.

Well it seems like some people in  the Bush administration may have  broken some  laws  in the  handling of prisoners.

Let the double standard debate about breaking laws and punishment of the individuals who broke the laws from the right begin.

Actually the Bush Administration, the Patriot Act, Gitmo, and Abu Ghraib already turned us into the moral equivalent of a Latin Country run by colonels in mirrored sunglasses.

Obama is trying to restore democracy and a civil discourse both at home and abroad.  I'm sure these are lost emotions and feelings in Rove's case.  His President ruled Democracy with an iron fist and put down dissent as un-Patriotic.

Today we can have Fox sponsored Tea Parties comparing Obama to Hitler, but that's just freedom loving people expressing themselves.  Keep talking to the base Karl - it's shrinking everyday.

      You're absolutely right, Uncle KKKarl . . .

Prosecuting torture memo authors WILL turn the Obama administration "into the moral equivalent of a Latin American country run by colonels in mirrored sunglasses."

For the Obama admin to seize the moral high ground, it has to do something bold . . . like, out a covert CIA agent,

      Right, KKKarl?

god what a blithering idiot... just the typical rhetoric coming from rovey. how is it that all of a sudden with obama in office, and the bush administration is coming out of their caves and unloading ammo on the new administration? and isnt it convenient for them to go on these shows to get loaded, softball questions to give themselves the benefit of the doubt. also, i love how hannity and oreilly bring on these guys (without a dissenting point of view) while they spew their hate-filled propaganda. bravo, fox... bravo, indeed.

I'm grateful for Media Matters and the mirror they hold up to F News' biases. Otherwise it would be easy to become so jaded about F News that their actions get overlooked as "more of the same." It's amazing how Fox puts Rove on as an "analyst" when he is so clearly compromised it's not even funny. Even the screen grab above demonstrates that conflict, when Rove could be one of the "Bush aides" referred to in the chyron.
