This is the kind of BS I hear from callers to CSPAN, Michael Reagan, Hannity etc. all the time- the "what about OUR rights to raise our kids the way we want to, what about OUR rights not to be SUBJECTED to their 'Agenda,' what about OUR rights to keep OUR marriages sacred" etc. etc. etc.
What they are saying, of course, is "My exclusive rights will no longer be exclusive if this group of people has them, and that's not fair. They won't be special anymore once they are not being denied to another group of people I can look down upon."
And "what about my rights NOT to be subjected to their behavior?" How logical is it to argue that anyone has the right to be assured that they wont see someone else enjoying that same right? They think they have the right to not have their children (its always about the children, you know) see guys kissing guys- but what about people who dont want to see girls kissing guys? What other behaviors make you uncomfortable that you want to see banned?
Ban slavery? What about MY right to be a Superior White Person who likes to own black people? Why don't we consider THAT?
Here's a better idea- MIND YOUR OWN D**NED BUSINESS and stop obsessing over what's going on outside your own narrow life.
And my favorite- "teaching the Gay Agenda in the schools." What would be taught? That Gay people are equal to 'Straight' people. Oh, the horrors! And this only two generations after we started teaching them that blacks were the equal of whites! When will it all end?
The Gay Community is not 'Tolerant' of Bigotry? That's news? The question should be, why are you idiots so tolerant of bigotry??
As always, a generalization is usually wrong. There's always at least one in a group who doesn't agree with a particular group's view.
There's no doubt, however, that Perez Hilton is a boor and very definitely intolerant of opposing views to his.
