We all know how you feel about a good primary and then subsequent college education... especially since we all know your a college drop out.
Guess you figure that since you could not hack it... why let other people have a shot at it as well?
So your anger toward an actual education that you know perfectly well is being taken away with vouchers... and the removal of which will allow for more children to actually make it out of HS... Nice.
The irony of course is that most of these politicians (both parties) send their kids to private schools, knowing that the education is better for their families but not helping those that don't have the same financial options.
This behavior is the most blatent quid pro quo for unions
(NEA) on President Obama's record. He cannot explain the removal of funding even though the voucher program works. Actually, Nancy removed the funding, but President Obama could have made it come back to life. He didn't.
DC schools are almost the worst in the entire country. The vouchers gave some kids an alternative to a poor and dangerous education.
President Obama has condemned the children (mostly black) to a poor education and a life that will be far more difficult.
Dear President Obama,
Please reverse this decision. Restore and grow the Washington DC Opportunity Scholarships. You didn't author the removal of funding, but now you must cause the decision to be reversed. You will win more votes by reversing the decision than anything the NEA can provide.
Please do it now.
