How refreshing. A gay female Conservative Hack.

Now, that's what I call diversity!

Here's the fact the Troglodytes are neglecting... Miss FakeBoobs California became a "target" only after the GOP Propaganda Machine tried to portray her as a hapless victim of the Gay Agenda and some kind of standard bearer for Family Values.

The Republicans tried to use her as a hood ornament, and now they're whining because she got bugs in her teeth.

Thats what they did with Joe The Plumber, and even with the guy that Rosegean blasted at the TEA party in Chicago I think it was.

And then they take no resonsibility for turning these people's lives upside-down. The same as what Sarah Palin did to Bristol and Levi.

Especially Levi. They paraded him around like a paragon of virtue because he was going to marry Bristol and as soon as Palin lost the election he was thrown out like yesterdays leftover fish. Trailer park trash republicans telling us how they have so much faith and virtue is a worn out record.

Nerzog is right about hood ornament (Love that!) This reminds me of the movie CITIZEN RUTH (Laura Dern) where both Pro Choice and Pro Life batted this drug addict around for their cause. Great movie.

Perez was tacky. Why that question even came up in a bikini contest is pathetic. What happened to World Peace? A new celebrity is born I suppose.

I tend to agree. Of course, Evangelicals whine if we judge them by the actions of people like Jimmy Swaggart and Robert Tilton. It's no surprise that the gay community has its share of a$$holes.

I guess that gate swings both ways.

Miss North Carolina, whom ultimately won, got a question about the TARP bailout and the questions to other contestants were along those same lines.

In some ways you can blame society for that question. Face it, if you don't want your beauty pagents to be just a parade of flesh for people to oogle over and rate on a scale like prime beef there is gonna be some introspective questioning required to cover over the fact that it's a parade of flesh. That is one of those things that will undoubtedly be blamed on feminists, but rest assured the right silently supports any effort to cover up a womans body. Heck, they drape statues!

I kind of miss the old days when these Beauty Pageants were unapologetic about what they were... meat parades. Of course it was sexist, but at least they were honest about it back then.

All this ersatz intellectual window dressing they put on them now is insulting. Show me a pageant where they don't prance around in bikinis, and I'll take it seriously.

Somebody needs to define the term "smear"; is it possible to "smear" someone if
      1)You are telling the truth
2)You are using their own words against them?

The right can't have it both ways; you can't have your children (ala Bristol Palin) front and center on an issue, you can't join an anti-gay marriage group like NOM and make PSA's, and you can't become the Republican pet project like Joe the (unlicensed) Plumber and not expect public criticism. Politics is a tough game; wear a cup.

      Wait a second...

Wasn't this the same lady who the other day was sandwiched between BillO and Marc Rudov in their very strange and weird discussion of women?

I think she's also the one who referred to the Obamas as "Trash in the White House".

One columnist referred to her as the "Gay Ann Coulter".

        Just what we need.

Tammy Bruce goes way back with Fox. They used to parade her around as a "liberal" who just always happened to agree with Bush and sean Hannity. I recall Alan Colmes finally tried to pin down what her liberal beliefs were, whereupon she went to the "I'm a classical liberal" trope you see conservatives use from time-to-time. Colmes' reply was something along the lines of "ah, so you would be a liberal if this was 1867."

I think she's one of those people who claim to have been a liberal but saw the error of her ways. I pretty much never believe that from either side.

How can Tammy Bruce actually say that marriage is just from the religious institutions?

IT ISsanctioned by the freaking state!

That's what is weird. Do they think people didn't hook up before the church got a monopoly on the deal?

It's kind of pathetic, really. Once you get them off their typical Man-Dog marriage slippery slope fallacy, they resort to the argument that allowing gays to marry somehow dilutes the "specialness" of heterosexual marriage.

It's kind of like saying that, if somebody you hate buys a car like yours, it makes you like your own car less; therefore, that person shouldn't be allowed to buy that kind of car.

That's their reasoning, or lack thereof.
