Aside from the distasteful joke, he ends on a false premise common to these Talk Radio Troglodytes.

He assumes that the devotion to duty and their comrades exhibited by our brave people fighting in Iraq somehow validates the original invasion. It does not.

That and that any solder would be willing to murder an American Civilian. Amazing that these idioots think so little of our troops, DEFAME THEM actually, and yet proclaim to "support them." (You know... by letting huge corporation off-shore all their tax obligations!)

Basically both of they are calling our troops terrorists because they believe our troops want to murder US citizens. Brilliant. More proof that reich-wingers hate our troops.

Harley, you need to lighten up. Read between the lines. This is not about the soldiers killing American citizens, it is a statement about what Pelosi & Reid are doing to this country. We all know we are all going down the tubes. The only difference is some see it & admit it and others see it but publicly deny it for party value. Those 2 will help get the US of A acting like a bannana republic for sure. Add Barny Fudd and Chris Dudd, and we are on a fast train. Throw in BO, and we jet there. How do you like it so far???

There is no need to read between the lines when the lines speak well enough for themselves.

I was in the Navy during Bush's war and knew more service members who could not sandt Bush and his ilk than liked them. If it had been me or many of those I knew in the service Pelosi and Reid would have had great laudings coming out.

Maybe my memory is fuzzy here, but I seem to recall that, when concerns about multiple redeployments and other veterans' concerns were brought up, many Right Wingers responded... "Well, they volunteered, didn't they?"

In fact, didn't Bush say something like that himself?

I wonder how that went over with the troops?

Well, I couldn't find an example of Bush making that statement, but Cheney did:

        http://crooksandliars.com/2008/03/24/cheney-on-4000-american-dead-they-volunteered

I still think Bush used that excuse in one of his rare press conferences, but I could be wrong.

Well, Feherty's a recovering drug and alcohol addict himself, so he and Rush have that in common, as well as gross stupidity. Of course, if I were a Rushbot, I might point out that Feherty *is* Irish, and everyone knows that the Irish are nothing but a nation of drunken wife-beaters (/snark now off)...

Pres. Bush' home in Dallas, TX, is in an area famous for racism.
The community had laws preventing blacks from living in their community, unless you were a servant. Mark Davis is or wants to be part of that mindset? Feherty is a liar. A mangled soldier thinks of survival. Feherty chatted them up with praise, and led to skilled questions. If Feherty is fired, a big raise and job are waiting at Fox News Sports.
