Who is proposing such a thing? The only "people" even bringing up such a ridiculous notion are the teabagging terrorists scum at Faux.
Any other regulation must past strict scrutiny ... The state must have a compelling reason to pass a law forbidding certain marriages. Religious beliefs against certain marriages do not pass that test.
GO FOR IT!!!!
"oughtta". Can't even spell shorthand slang. What a doofus.
To say that you MUST legalize polygamy or incest or man-dog love if you legalize gay marriage is nonsense.
As others have pointed out, marriage is a legal contract; into which animals and children cannot enter.
As for polygamy, a case could be made, but there is no compelling reason to do it. We could legalize it, but we don't have to. Besides, if we did, what would be the harm? It would provide more work for lawyers.
Polygamy has been given a bad name by creepy old Mormons who force their 12 year old cousins into marriage and set up their own little harems, but I don't see an inherent problem with polygamy, if you can find adult partners who are willing to share and enter into it willingly.
This all comes back to the fact that the Troglodytes cannot come up with a logical reason to keep Gay Marriage illegal. Therefore, they must retreat to Logical Fallacies and Fear. It's all they've got.
The Mormons believe it was commanded by God. (And later rescinded by God.)
So by that logic - and I use the term loosely - Fox & Friends thinks God was wrong. Shame on them.
Mormon polygamy.
You only present the teaser and not the report.
