The Democrats are addicted to power?
Rush is such a colossal idiot.
The Republicans were strung out on power and now that they don't have it they'll do and say anything for just a hit.
It boggles my mind that some people actually agree with anything this buffoon says.

As if Rush speaks for the most valued of the Republican Party. Know that in the future this ignorance will be weighed by the American people and it reflects what sore losers the Republican Party can be and in the face of adversity will stoop to an all time low to minimize their opponents. The Republican Party has made Rush useful in what he is, a puppet, the "Fall Guy". They don't have the nerve to jeopardize their own career but mind you when his usefulness is up, his usefulness to voice their discontent that an African American is President, he will feel the rath of Alzheimers all alone. Rush seems to be showing early signs of dementia now. Those drugs did more than taint your career Rush.
Mean while, back at the ranch...........
American knows that Rush is the voice chosen to spew this hate and it will not be forgotten when the next election is at hand. As a matter of fact, which Rush is unfamiliar with; the Democrats are so composed they don't even draft a memo on you!

This kind of tactfulness will be reviewed in the future of America. When they elected this new President, even though they hide a true sentiment of solidarity and place themselves within a category not so widely shared anymore.... you must now realize that America is not largely racist and for whatever reason that some of these same Republicans that lead you to believe they share your sentiment that it is false. Know how I know... O'Bama could not have won the office of the President of the United States of America without being predominately supported by White people and mainly Republican. There isn's enough minority votes or money, because collectively we don't have any, that could have done it Rush.

Denial is the first failure in drug addiction. You must admit the truth. Hi, my name is Rush, and I am an addict to lying! smile.

"The Republican Party has made Rush the Fall Guy." Exactly, but his own quest for power has made him seek power, no matter how he comes by it.

"The Democrats are addicted to power."Rush once again projected his own issues on someone else.

Is Rush currently in a recovery program himself? If not, then it's probably a good bet that he himself is acting on addictive impulses...he's simply traded one addiction for another - this is his new addiction. Very common for addicts.

This is certainly not the behavior or the speech of a person in recovery.

Talk about an angry person with a compulsive need for power and control!! Sheesh!

Worse yet is the caller . . . duh???

For real! With an agenda and some direction, besides an attempt at a come back. Rush could be a hell of an NA counselor.

'They've got more than they asked for.'

What did they ask for specifically? What are they doing now that is unrelated to what they asked for then because it wasn't even an issue then? What exactly do you mean by 'more'?

      'Look at Hollywood people.'

Wealth and fame sparking misery is a phenomenon as prevalent on Wall Street as it is on Hollywood Boulevard.

'And they go huddle up with people like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro.'

If anyone really cares about what 'Hollywood people' have to say about politics, no matter what level, it's because those people can't or won't think for themselves. Being led around like sheep resonates with Rush's audience because they need him to do the thinking for them. After all, the term is 'dittohead'; they think and say the same thing. Rush just wants to create and/or reinforce some kind of brand loyalty in consumers of 'processed thought'.

The finality he uses in his last few sentences is undefined. When are liberals defeated if they will never be happy? Is it political defeat? He leaves that wide open because he can't lie well enough to come up with an answer to something so entirely outside of reason.

I remember the bush elders huddling up with Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. Perhaps they were taking notes on how to run a well oiled propoganda machine...

How incredibly scared of Rush you libbies are. Instead of taking issue with the issues, you simply attack the man. Perhaps it is all you can do, as you are but passingly aware of the issues themselves.
Of course, to have an intellectually honest conversation on the issues would force you to read, study and think. This, of course, is anathema to you, as you are more inclined to simply feel, not study. So be it.
Better hurry, I think Keith Olberman is coming on. Go get your talking points.

All right, Eric, let me ask you: what do you think should be done with the auto industry that doesn't involve a government power grab? And what do you propose to do about the skyrocketing cost of a college education?
those were the caller's concerns: let's discuss what your solutions are.

Hey! Is that Rush doing -- gulp! -- empathy? I confess that I am pleasantly astounded. Sadly, he's still got it all wrong. If Rush's painkiller enthusiasm was a quest for power, then how does he describe his current level of activity?

And anyway, why does he sit in front of a neon light of his signature? And what's with the gold microphone -- any Freudian analysts out there?

So, to answer my own question, someone so narcissistic cannot possibly experience empathy.

      I regret the misunderstanding.

"They own the auto industry and we can't go to college.'
It's this that makes me weep,
This is what happens when you listen just to right wing radio: you don't even know what's going on.
Taking over a bankrupt company is a power grab? And the soaring cost of college education is part of a Democrat(ic) plot?
It's a picture that doesn't even make paranoid sense.
What's the right wing solution for the auto industry? Do they have one? And does the caller believe that the Republican Party is going to make it easier to go to college?
I can understand racist, jingoist, or objectivist paranoia.
      I don't understand this.
