CNN's John King lets Boehner claim Obama has "government-run health-care plan"

Is it me, or is John King just short of Fox News, in hammering Democrats and liberals, while pitching softballs and co-planning strategy with Repubs? This is NOT the first time he's done this - not by a longshot!

This week (and I've only watched the first hour) he went off like a prosecutor against Nancy Pelosi, with no equivilent Democrat on - Orzag(sp) is a numbers guy, not a party politician. AND, Boehner got TWO SEGMENTS! NO mention of Bob Graham, or Jay Rockafeller, or Feinstein, who all back Pelosi up. Didn't BushCo go after the CIA, when the WMD and Saddam-AQ connection fizzled - even though they ignored the CIA, and turned to the DIA, and Feith's OSP, for their Iraq talking points. His only pushback was from the right, noting Limbaugh's criticism of the GOP's Listening Tour.

One week, when he hosted Judd Gregg, he was feeding him talking points about bankrupting the country, then hammered the Democrat guest, Ms Kagan. (once again, GOP shark Vs non-political Democrat)

Another week, hosting Mike Pence and John Ensign - it was ALL RW talking points, against the stimulus, against Obama, against Dems. Ensign was at ease enough - like he is on Fox - to disclose the GOP plan: threaten filibuster to water down the bill as much as possible (so it can't possibly work, prolonging the recession, which the GOP plans/planned to capitalize on in 2010 & 2012) and then give him no votes - to humiliate Obama, as the house did...

Then the Cheney episode - no less softball than Cavuto's latest sit-down with Lord Vader.

His road trips are as bad as Fox's. He usually goes to the deepest red districts he can find. There's sometimes an Obama voter at the table, but there's ALWAYS at least one McCain voter, usually ALL McCain voters. This week, in Selma AL, he was trying to drive a wedge between the (Dem?) mayor, and Washington.

If you want to see/hear the manifestation of "liberal media" look at them savagely attacking Pelosi, last week - and still continuing. They dutifully pivoted from (reluctantly) covering the torture story, involving Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Yoo, Addington, Bybee, et al, to the "What did Pelosi know, and when did she know it" that the RW Repubs want to be the SOLE FOCUS of any torture ... er... enhanced interrogation techniques investigation/commission - in effect treating "accessory after the fact" as a HUGE crime, while actually ORDERING the torture is no crime at all (patriotic, in fact)

Maybe if more people watched Gibbs' daily briefings - and saw/heard what I call "murderers' row" (CNN's Ed Henry, CBS' Chip Ried, ABC's Jake Tapper, (MS)NBC's Chuck Todd, and (of course) Fox's Major Garrett) attempt to gang-rape Gibbs EVERY DAY. They all sit together and lob nothing but gotcha questions - meant not to elicit information, but only to embarass Obama, his administration, or Democrats in general. These same 5 (OK, 4, Chuckie-T replaced David Gregory) lobbed nothing but SOFTBALLS to Bush's press flacks!

On the Pelosi point: Have they all forgotten BushCo's trashing of the CIA? How they discarded CIA assessments, in favor of those coming from the DIA, and Fieth's OSP shop at the Pentagon? How when it went wrong - NO WMD, NO Iraq-AQ connection - they BLAMED the CIA, whose info & advice they ignored & derided...
