Yes, Obama did shellack Keyes. In a bitter contest that had Keyes calling a vote for Obama, a "vote for Satan."
Keyes out-spent Obama by 2-1, yet Keyes lost by 3-1.

Keyes is on video calling Obama a "radical communist," and Keyes is one of those whacko "birthers" claiming Obama isn't a US citizen.

....after the 1st GOP candidate had to drop out because of a sex scandal (jeri ryans ((of star trek voyager))ex), the Illinois GOP imported alan keyes to illinois. He rented a home but stayed in a hotel and claimed he was an illinois resident. He lost by a big margin and then crept out of illinois after the loss. He is a joke!

there was a time when such as mr. keyes would have been taken away to a padded cell, for his and our safety, since he's clearly insane.

nowadays, they make him a spokesman for the republican party.

Would love to hear this guy's rational for the thousands of child-killings that have resulted from the war on Iraq he supported.

key's daughter came out of the closet during his Illinois campaign. She has a lot more credibility than he will ever have-especially considering she shares his genes.

Anything, for publicity. Mr. Keyes is, so last century. A man, deciding what women should do with their bodies, is control. I have not right to tell anyone what to do. He is vying for the next election. The root of the problem lies with men.

Anybody interested in reading a reasoned, scientific and historically (including history about the Catholic church) accurate debate on abortion should read this article by Carl Sagan from the book "Billions and Billions" excerpted here:

You might be surprised by what you learn. Interesting stuff.

          Hey Snoopy, nice icon dude!

Thanks for taking the time to read that article. It is a good one, and you or I should post in on every thread where the topic comes up.

Is that IPW something to do with Jeter being whipped? Or is there another connotation? ;-)

"Dr. Keyes, as always, nice to talk to you". Only on Fox News would that ever be the case. Just ask his daughter.

Isn't it just a requirement as a Faux News Contributor that you must have a degree in ranting? If not! Then how did O'Reilly and Hannity get their own shows? The kings of rant.

Oh no! I hope Obama doesn't overturn George W. Bush's ban on abortion!!

These anti-choice fanatics fall into the category of people who you want to be mad at, but the pity overrides any anger.Suckered over and over again by the GOP and their "pro-life" BS.How blindly obedient do you have to be to believe Republicans value human life?

Was that also a requirement for his show on MSNBC, if we look at olbermann today, it is easy to think it is.

Once again you try to deflect the subject to Olbermann when the true subject of the article, Alan Keyes, is indefensible.

When Olbermann rants, it never false outrage. I like a good rant as muich as the next guy, but there should at least be a principled, intellectually honest and eductaed philosophical underpinning in any GOOD rant. (Just look at any of mine!) ;) Olbermann's rants mostly qualify. Most conservatives' ratss do not.

      Respect for life?
The day that bobbleheaded Republican loons like this guy renounce the death penalty and sending American soldiers off to die (along with Iraqi civilians) in a trumped up war is the day I'll start believing that they... respect life.

Alan Keyes, Randall Terry and other right-wing, radical vigilantes represent one of the more virulent and destructive forms of religious fundamentalism. Their actions are not fueled by principles or love for the unborn, but by hatred.

These are people who despise anyone who do not share their myopic views. They are modern day Pharisees who typify those whom Jesus referred to as white washed tombs. They are soulless individuals who lack the ability to empathize with others.

Dr. Keyes and his ilk are not interested in problem solving. They are not interested in promoting dialogue. They are not interested in promoting life. If they were, they would join President Obama and other like-minded people in working to decrease the number of abortions by reducing poverty levels, making affordable housing, child care, adoption services and health care available to women and low income parents.

Alan Keyes and Randall Terry are an embarrassment to all peace loving Christians and other people of faith throughout our nation.

Alan Keyes is a loser. He could not get elected in Maryland, where I live, so he went to Illinois to try and lost there too. He is a worthless human being as far as I am concerned. He is continually rejected by the electorate no matter where he is. Since there seem sto be only a few hundred protesters, once more we can see, just like the tea parties, that people are rejecting the conservative causes.

"Rejecting God's fundamental law of love. . ."

The way you rejected God's fundamental law of love when you basically disowned your daughter Maya?

      Right-wing hypocrite.
