"It's not up to Rush Limbaugh to decide who ought to be in the Republican Party"

It's also not up to Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly to say who is a good American.

MichaelSteele, chairman of the RNC, said yesterday on Meet the Press, the republican party is a big party with a big tent and will accept anybody in and come listen. Rush Limbaugh is a radio nnouncer and not elected to anything, not even president of the golf course he spends his free time at.

I saw that, and when he was pressed to name someone who was an example of that, he quickly rattled off Christine Todd Whitman. Remember her? She quit the GOP several years ago because the rightwing savaged her after she refused to cave into the Bush administrations attempts to deregulate pollution.

Poor Joe hangs out with the Libs on MSNBC too much of the time. This issue has never been anything but an invention of the Left, just one in a constant flow of misrepresentations about the other side. The remarkable thing was not Price's answer, it was Scarborough suggesting such a thing in the first place. Of course, it fits in with Left-wing mythology so it keeps the management at NBC happy. And it's interesting to see how many of you fish swallow this hook.

Apparently you didn't see the "Meet the Press" where Cheney started this ball rolling. Scaraborough is carrying forward the concept started by your former second (cough, cough) in command that Limbaugh is a better Republican than Powell.

Maybe Limbaugh ought to dig his spurs on Jeb Bush and run for office. And do something about what he is complaining about. ( which may very well have nothing to do with who is in the White House, we really don't know if the big man from Florida believes in constitutional law or even passed civics test. )

Rush Limbaugh would never have the courage to run for office. As a candidate, he would be directly and publicly challenged for his hateful and divisive rhetoric. Besides, he cannot possibly win the moderate vote - and that is necessary for anyone from either party to win an election.

I just keep reminding myself that Limbaugh, Hannity, and Cheney are actually working for the Democrats, now. They continue to marginalize the Republican party. I get angry at the stupid things they do and say, but then I settle down and have a good laugh at their complete lack of political savvy.

Chris Mathews found out it was a whole lot more lucrative, and easier, to criticise elected officials than be one.

I am reading a cell of the Limborg hivemind talk to me about LEFTWING mythology? Do you rightwingers get your irony genes surgically removed at birth? If ANY level of irony were fatal your head would have exploded before you were able to finish writing that post

            Hey Ewl,

Name a prominent Republican who has disagreed with Rush Limbaugh in the past 6 months who has not groveled back to Rush with an apology.

Yes. Many of them. Why do you ask? Your projection is showing there is nothing LITTLE about me. Have you ever met a strawman argument you didnt just swoon for? Do you ever make three posts in a row without logical fallacies? Do you ever want to actuall participate in a discussion instead of attack us lefties? Try it some day. Try leaving out the condescension and cliched rightwing talking points and make an ACTUAL point. I know you can do it. I have seen you do it a couple of times. Then you resume your partisan attacks and precious act of superiority based on NOTHING I have ever seen. You really arent that bright. Which doesnt say anything about ALL rightwingers. You just THINK you are.

I don't think so. Rep. Price (a southern Republican, no less) knew exactly what he was doing. I think it is a clarion call to other Republicans who understand that their Party is falling apart, and the likes of Limabaugh is no longer useful.

Yesterday I said that it was not up to Rush Limbaugh to decide who ought to be in the Republican party. Using the word NOT was an unfortunate error on my part for which I would like to personally apologize to Mr. Limbaugh.

Further, I would also like to apologize to Mr. Limbaugh for suggesting that General Powell had any place in the party. My theory that the party welcomes many points of view was an error I can only blame on a recent bout of binge drinking.
Although General Powell has a long record of service to the country, I would have to agree with Mr. Limbaugh that his devotion to family values and the drug industry are far more important to our freedom.

Oh, I get your meaning -- but, I doubt Price has to worry; he's not exactly Limpballs' type . . . not young enough -- or Dominican enough . . .
