Joe the Plumber might think that way, but normal people don't.
I am not completely opposed to conservatism, but these guys have apparently completely given up on arguing their points reasonably. It's such a joke.
Yep, here it is.
`The question is,' said Alice, `whether you CAN make words mean so many different things.'
`The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, `which is to be master - - that's all.'
Through the Looking Glass
I never thought I'd see the day that I actually agree with Cavuto, but on this issue I think he's dead on.
Cavuto nailed it with the Reagan analogy. He deserves credit for looking at it from the opposing perspective instead of buying into the partisan nonsense. Would Republicans have thought it to be worthwhile, meaningful or mature for Democrats to pull this sort of stunt after Reagan was elected? Of course they wouldn't.
All these people are doing is showing people that they don't have anything substantial to offer. They can't compromise in good faith, they can't offer up anything but stale ideas, and they can't even act like adults. What's the motivation to care about what they think at all?
Keep rolling republicans, we'll take a lot more seats at mid terms than we already will if you keep up with this BS.
Uncle Rupert said he was sorry, but he saw no way out.
Practically every Fox bobblehead tosses the word socialism around like some people say um---why the reluctance now?
Although it has been years since I got my degree in political science, I'm pretty sure that even if Adams is right, 17 percent government control hardly hits the socialist bulls eye.
Then there's the whole thought process attached to this idea. They can't change the name, only how they refer to the Democrats.
I find it hard to believe that people actually sat around a table and decided that this idea will have any positive impact with the voters. This silliness only makes the Republicans look more marginal and behind the times than they already are.
If anything, they should be more worried about 2010 and all the negativity associated with the Republican brand. If any party needs rebranding, it isn't the Democratic Party.
YOU LOST!!
Get over it and start acting like serious politicians.Kudos to Cavuto for saying it like it is.
