      '...Catholic philosophy...'

For a supposedly practicing Catholic, he doesn't seem to understand his own religion very well. I mean, he even called Jesus a philosopher. I bet Catholics wouldn't take too kindly to that.

All it took was one speech from Obama to make them secular? Wow, he really can walk on water!

BTW, I just love how right wing hipocrites adorn themselves with huge golden crosses - like it really deflects criticism of their phony practicing!

What are these two clowns credentials compared to the leaders at Notre Dame that they can make moronic statements like this. Starting with Faux Noise....they are in the negative.

Well, let's see: one was a college punting champion, former host of Inside Edition, and Peabody Award winner . . . the other, well, likes to bare her arms a la Michelle Obama.

Sounds like great credentials to me! Much more than the Indiana Department of Education, fo sho . .

Who gave them the authority to classify a private religious institutuion as secular?
Just because they personally don't like what happened gives them no right at all for their audacious claims.
Why are these "journalists" allowed to have delusions of grandeur?

The bible did. You know, the passage that said "though shalt not pass judgement". They are in direct contact with GOD and therefore not subject to the laws of mankind he passed.

Its called freedom of speech my friend. Even if we don't like it, they have all right to say it. That is America!

Thank you for that rousing patriotic reminder of the first amendment and of what country it represents,I had no idea!(sarcasm of course).
Anyway,a news journalist should not say that they are reporting facts when it is opinion that is being reported.
I am not a Catholic so it is not the content of which I find insulting, but of the principle of the claims that are being "reported".I have absolutely no problem with another American expressing themselves and utilizing their first amendment rights. However when a "journalist" claims to be reporting facts but instead offers their opinion that is deceptive.
          I ask you,is THAT America?

It's amazing the people who say they believe in Jesus the most can't even follow his teaching....where is the compassion, understanding, love, turning the other cheek, and humility that you find in the New Testament?

Memo to Bill and Laura - according to Jesus the only one who can sit in judgement is his Father.

If Hell exists let's hope it is rings the way Dante described it in Inferno. There has to be a special place for self appointed truth police and hypocrites like Bill and Laura.

Yeah, I'm sure that they're going to be secular now. Even though the President of the University is, you know, a Catholic priest. And that you're still required to take religion classes to graduate and all.

Jeez louise, these folks are morons.

Stop wetting your pants, Laura and Bill. Notre Dame is still a Catholic school, and one speech at one commencement by one Democratic president is not going to change that.

BTW, have you forgotten that liberal, far-left NBC is the Notre Dame Football Network? And always will be no matter how much their team sucks?

That used to drive my dad crazy way back when...& still holds true today. No matter how Notre Dame is doing, their football team will be playing on national television at least 5 or 6 times each season...guess they do it for the Gipper.

When O'Reilly held a debate between two students on the Obama visit, I remember his closing line was to the student opposed to the President speaking, and he said - and I apologise for quoting imperfectly from memory - Well, you have to admit that Notre Dame is really a secular school.

O'Reilly is the only major media figure making this argument, and I really don't think he can't support it. If Notre Dame really were a secular school, there wouldn't have been such a controversy.

Well...there you have it, it's a done deal. All the priests and clergy at Notre Dame should pack it in and turn in their collars at the chapel entrance...O'Reilly and Ingraham have declared them non-Christians!

As a practicing catholic, i didnt have a problem with President Obama going to Notre Dame, however i will never ever change my beliefs and the teachings of my Church. The President seems like a Good person but i will never share his views.
