      "we breathe carbon dioxide"

Oh goody! Let's lock him in an airtight garage with a car running and see how long he lasts.

Humans exhale carbon dioxide and inhale oxygen. Not pure oxygen or carbon dioxide, of course. We need that balance of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and oxygen to live.

Hannity inhales nitrous oxide and exhales bile.

The PROBLEM is not a breathing hazard that is caused by carbon dioxide. It is the greenhouse gas phenomenon where they trap heat into the atmosphere! Stop clouding us with phonier science!

Listen to the clip. Really exposes Hannity's anti-intellectualism. He offers a protestation of faith that God gave us logic/reason (talent) and treats that as an unadulterated "good" when it furthers what his definition of the human condition (materialism). He does this while at the same time denying the logic/reason (i.e., actual science) when it runs counter to the "good".

I continuously find it hard to believe that ANYONE can take this guy seriously.

He makes me wonder if Satan intercepted in some cases. Even Murdoch does not take him serious but he does count on other stooges doing just that. I wonder how often people that have to work for or with Sean pull their hair out screaming this guy is an idiot. Guess that is the price for selling your soul to the devil but then jobs are far and few between these days.

I love this part: "The oceans are God's gifts"

Newsflash, Sean: we're poisoning God's gifts. We're dumping chemicals, heavy metals and God only knows what else into them. We've also managed to create a giant floating patch of plastic garbage twice the size of Texas in the middle of the Pacific ocean.

Why aren't you crusading to save God's gifts, Sean?

I'm sure that people like Sean are eyeing that big floating patch of garbage as a potential real estate investment. It could become the new tax haven for rich Republicans.

What a worthless piece of excrement!

Hannity is nothing but an overpaid promoter for the oil, coal and military industrial complex. He doesn't mind contributing to the destruction of the future world as long as he gets paid now.

I'm just curious; who's writing the GOP talking points these days?

This irrelevant fact that we exhale carbon dioxide is suddenly blurting from the mouth of virtually every Republican Congressmen and pundit that can find a microphone.

The point is, I suspected that Karl Rove was still writing their material, but their talking points lately have been so silly and juvenile that it doesn't really sound like Rove; he always seemed smarter than that.

I am tired of these talk show hosts who pollute the mind. They grind the same stuff from morning to evening - Starts with RL, continues with LI and some other stupid guy who takes over after that into the wee hours of the night! Looks like they have a meeting in the morning and decide what to discuss and in what order to discuss. I used to listen to them to see how long I can tolerate the stupidity that spews of their mouths and be it known that tolerance limit has dropped at an exponential rate. CIA did not listen to these idiots; else they would have discovered a better torture technique -- soundbyting -- make those detainees listen to this nonsense day after day and become common sense depraved which will make them spill the truth at a faster clip.

This a better group than the last Hannity quote. This group has been smoking way too much pot. Oh yes for the chemistry majors, autos give off carbon monoxide. One less oxygen atom.Plus a really small amount of CO2. A few questions.
        1. Who doesn't drive or ride in a car powered most of the time by a carbon based fuel? That would include electricity by the way.
        2. Who doesn't heat their home or their parents home with carbon based fuels?
        3. Who doesn't use a computer made with carbon based material?
        4. Who doesn't use a cell phone other than one made entirely of wood?
        5. Who doesn't want to spend $1000's of dollars each year to fight global warming? It won't be free.
Unless all you can step up to all these questions you are all oil addicted hypocrites.
We couldn't make it happen and if we did everything right according to the pushers (just like drugs) it wouldn't affect the temperature in any measurable way. Nothing would change. Even the IPCC says that. Well they say bad things will happen but temperatures will be put back about 6 months assuming the temperature would start rising again which it won't.
I have offered wagers to James Hansen and others a total of $15,000 aginst their claims of ridiculous climate outcomes. They said the probabilities were up to 90% of their predictions coming true. They wouldn't bite. I am talking direct challenges. Cowards or liars. You chose. I am torn between these two choices. You folks are just sheep following your lib heros or you wouldn't be on Media Matters. I know you are incapable of reasoned argument. "Oh yeah" is a great response here.

It would make things easier for the environmental cause if people stopped calling it global warming and called it climate change. Since different areas of the globe are experiencing different aspects of global warming/climate change it makes it easier for people like Hannity, who refuse to look at facts, to easily confuse the public. And lets face it, people who listen to his show and actually believe the crap that comes out of his mouth are uneducated people and are easily confused.

The atmosphere is naturally made up of carbon dioxide but only .03%. Like someone else posted already, it is not the breathing of carbon dioxide that is a problem, its how it acts like a blanket around the Earth, trapping the heat inside the atmosphere. This leads to increased storm ferocity and uncharacteristic climate patterns, such as drought, fire, hurricanes and so on. Once it is in the atmosphere it becomes too diluted to cause any harm from breathing. Hypothetically, if we locked him in a garage with a car running (as fun as that may sound) he would die from carbon monoxide poisoning first, not carbon dioxide.

Really All advancements by man are good??? How about most Weapons? Darn there I go again with simply logic hannity doesn't understand that. Almost everything we make has an evil to go with it....and other things aren't necessary like the great advancement to be able to kill mass about of people in seconds....or try this one....advancements in medicine allow us to heal people but they also make it easier to kill one another..... Each reaction has an equal and opposite reaction.

Hannity and others like him have people where they want them. People are expending energy fighting their absurd claims instead of fighting to get them marginalized on t.v. and radio. Get in touch with their advertisers and ask for people to be put on with a sensible opposite point of view. These guys are just ridiculous.
