So... Miss California finished 2nd becuase she doesn;t like gays... and that's BAD.

But teh gay finsihed 2nd in American Idol... on FOX... and that's OK.

THANK YOU for admitting such a blatant double standard. We've been having a hard time lately convincing some people that one exsists.

I'm confused by your post. Could you explain it to me. I'm not trying to be a jerk---I just don't get your point.

Also, spellcheck is a good thing.

NO! I HATE TEH SPELL CHECK!!! (Actually that post isn't even all that bad!)

Maybe "double standard" was a poor choice of words. I guess he IS being perversly consistant in booing the 2nd place finish of a homophobe, but celebrating the 2nd place finish of one who appears homosexual. (Is he actually? I don't even know, I don't watch that crap.)

In any case, I think it pokes some holes in the theory that some grand homosexual conspiracy nearly cost Ms. CA her crown. 'Teh Gay' didn't win this one. So... I guess bil Al' big gay agenda isn't quite as organized or as powerfull as they make it out to be.

So being anti gay marriage equates to being homophobic?

Uh... yeah! Standing agianst gay-rights is pretty much the definition of homophpbic.

I disagree. The popular argument of "gay rights" centers on the issue as one of civil rights. State recognition of marriage is not a universal right. There are many regulations of marriage. So one can be against "gay marriage" but for "gay rights".

I didn't follow the Cal queen story closely but what I did see and read, I don't remember her saying anything blatantly homophobic just that she was for marriage between a man and woman. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right about what she said (that's a fact) but your wrong in your position about gay marriage (but that's just my opinion.) ;)

                    How am I wrong?

I see a lot's of support for gay marriage, but only support. WHY do you support it?

Well he opened the door, folks, let's fire up on how HE looks. Or the way old bald men try to marginalize younger and obviously more virile men as a way to keep relavant. Or the way 'flamer' is code for 'female', and therefore weak and unimportant. The last 'flamer' I worked with put a would-be mugger in the hospital. Cops gave him a special commendation because they'd ben trying to get that guy for months.
