ABC's World News, Fox News' Special Report, CBS Evening News accompany reports on Cheney speech with 9-11 images

Well if ever there was a man-made disaster, it's Cheney. That's the only reason to show 9-11 images during his speechifying.

how about images of bush and cheney hard at work in the early summer of 2001, discussing all the warnings of an imminent attack that had begun to surface? wait a minute, there aren't any such images. maybe some shots of bush clearing brush during his month long august vacation?

That was an awful display of how the networks do anything they can to make the Bush/Cheney cabal look good. They never challenge Cheney's lies.

David Gregory on NBC Nightly News was terrible too. He gushed with talking points he admitted he got from Republicans about how Cheney has found a new issue that has re-ignited the GOP. Cheney's been trying to keep control by frightening people for years. There's nothing new here. The Republican plot to create a climate of fear failed completely in 2008.

I don't see why Cheney is even covered by the media. Only 30% like him or believe a word he says.

Why did the line "I was only following orders" not work in 1946, but seem to be an acceptable answer when given to any member of the Washington Press Corps?

Cheney kept us safe for seven years. Too bad about the year that got away.

This is like a football team saying "we stopped them from scoring after the first period". Too bad they scored 63 points during the period and we still lost the game. At least we stopped them from scoring again!
