      The punchline of Lynne Cheney's "joke" would have been so much funnier if she hadn't ripped it off from Ronald Reagan. Reagan used it to explain the pronunciation of his name in comparison to Donald Regan's.

      I think that Cheeney/Chainy bit came from an old ABC News story, back in '99-'00. IIRC people out west would say Cheeney, people out east would say Chainy...
