We were trying to spread a lie based on a meaningless assumption that feeds our facade of hating government but you made us look at the facts. My marine vet mailman will be glad to know his life doesn't count since he only ever worked for the government.

My only question... are these talking points that the Republicans have had on the shelf for a while, or did Rush and Karl write them over the weekend?

      "a government check"

The famous right-eing talking point. Making every gov't job the equivalent of being on pubic assistance. What scumbags.

SUPPORT THE TROOPS - even though they're not doing any "real work."

U.S. Postal? 2-3 day letter delivery for a fraction of what UPS/FEDEx charges for 2nd day. Nah. No productive work going on there. (Does ANYONE ever pay extra for "expedited shipping" when ordering something online? I never do. 3x as much to get it 1-2 days sooner? No thanks. USPS hasn't failed me yet - buying or selling online.)

Police? Firefighters? Park Rangers? Airport Security? District Attourneys? Public Defenders? Judges? Yep... all deabeats.

Now... we might be more sympathetic to this when discussing MEMBERS OF CONGRESS or the CLERK DOWN AT THE DMV... but even this is only tongue-in-cheek. At the end of the day, the educated and thoughtful amoung us realize that these are still actual, important JOBS and that it's definitely WORK, and not some free ride on the public dole. At the end of the day, society doesn't work without every one of these JOBS being filled.

These guys are such narrow-minded scumbags. How can your average "joe the mailman" let them get away with this kind of nonsense?!

What the hell? Why is being a public servant supposed to show that someone doesn't qualify as "empathetic"? And why is private practice "real life experience" as opposed to getting a government paycheck? As if prosecuting criminal cases isn't "real" or protecting your local community isn't empathetic, but if you charge $200 bucks an hour then there are no questions in those areas.

These dingbats fail to mention she worked as a corporate lawyer for a firm in NYC after leaving the DA's office and before she was appointed to the Federal Bench.

She has worked in the private and governemtn sectors....they ought to read her resume before inserting foot!
