      Latino's and Latina's have a thing about referring to themselves in third person and such. It's that spicy thing that they do. We have always enjoyed their frankness and even now it seems cultural not racist.

        Generalizations are racist. Not all latinos or latinos are "spicy". Nice apology though. So we are already apologizing for her?

          I refuse to apologize for you or any one other than myself. I have no problem admitting I don't know everything and I can insult a person and cause confusion, I'm good! I am spicy. I don't say that all latino's are spicy as in girl spicey but i will say spirited. I didn't know that I need to be politically correct since this column is almost borderline contemptuous. I don't know Sotomayor, I may not even like latina's. I am interpreting from my intake what I feel I am hearing because I hear it within the culture and communities I visit all the time. Maybe in your world everyone has to guard ethnic pride and reference. She didn't feel like she does. Some people are getting the nation talking about this racial tone in media and this upset by the Rep's. People are not stupid. She (Sotomayor) doesn't have to apologize to you or the Nation for that statemment and so why would you think I would?

          You clearly see that that was an explanation. Is this the Spin Zone of blogging or something. I back up everything I do. Did you get back with me on that David Duke thing? Matter of fact, when I say something you like you blog gracefully and let me know that it is favorably. If you don't like what I say that is when we can have an intellectual or heated discussion. I have the sense and tenacity. Remember I am blogging with the experts. I post intelligently. My income is 69.00 per month and I have five kids who are honor students in competitive school systems (oldest 3). I don't do too much apologizing in my life and I have apologized on here because it was neccessary. Don't act like the Rupert Boys, you don't know me!

      Lou, you jackmonkey, how would that be racist again? As in, how is she demeaning another race in her comment? She's not. Simple as that. For a good racist, take a long look in the mirror. We know that you're just scared of brown people, so this must be your worst nightmare.

      Sure it's racist. Why is it she can get away with it, but if some one else said this they would be accused of such. I realy believe she should watch her words not only because she is a Supreme Court Judge but because she is now in the eye of the public.

      How many of you in media have latina house help? How many of you in government, construction and industry have latino employment? And you don't think it is good to be fair and balanced on the SC? Let's get into some things if you want...... Is everyone in America white? IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAT IS WHY SOTOMAYOR WILL BE APPOINTED, THAT IS WHAT MY PRESENT SHOULD TELL YOU ALL, AND THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT. DISPUTE THIS FACT BASED ON DEMOGRAPHICS, PSYCHOGRAPHICS, AND GEOGRAPHICS BUDDY.
