Doesn't Pat know that everyone who isn't white and a male is an affirmative action pick?

I guess if you keep calling all of these highly educated people AA picks than eventually we'll want to get rid of AA so that people can be allowed to take credit for their own hard work.

As beautiful as this country is and wants to be there is still an ugliness that will not go away. So sad.

So are you, Pat. MSNBC needs to reach the "out of touch old fart" demographic.

How racist must you be to say that someone who went to Princeton,Yale is only the SC nominee 'cuz she's a Latina?
That type of logic means that only white male nominees are the only ones who are qualified.

Let's see, a potential 4 women, in the entire history of this country, could be seated on the Supreme Court. I say about time really. And the first Latina? Pat, it would be affirmative action if there were someone else passed over because she was just a minority in this country, whereas, her bona fides prove her out as being worthy of nomination. You seem to, you know, forget that part of the equation. It's not as if she just spent time teaching, like Scalia, who is no doubt your vision of the PERFECT jurist.

You're absolutely right, Buck . . . she's there to help end the preferential hiring practice of putting old, white males on the nation's highest bench.
