You got it! POWER HUNGRY. The see their own election as an inherent good rather than just in their own interests. It's pretty sick, and it's been that way for a loooong time. (In truth, guys like Limabugh have not really changed their tactics since the "America Held Hostage" days following Clinton's election in '92. They just don't make the same effort to appear objective or analytical or even halfwya rational anymore.
I think you're right; they're so power-hungry that they don't care about the damage they do. They're openly advocating government by and for the wealthy without regard for anything except their own power. It's disgusting and frightening. Sinclair Lewis said "When fascism comes to America, it'll be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross." He was right.
P.S. Not to mention that Israel(nod, wink) may have some of those nukes already.
But their minds may be changing along with the times...N. Korea.
Isn't the Holocaust Memorial Dick is yammering about in Israel?
No matter... the real point here is that if Israel feels like Iran is about to go nuclear on them, they're not going to wait for word from Obama.
Pittsburgh was chosen for the G-20 Summit in September. Must have been that breakfast that Pamela restaurants' "chef" made for the White House.
Upon revealing this, the reporters went out to the streets for comments. Some didn't know what the G-20 does, that's ok, some didn't care, others were worried about the protesters and but TRAFFIC was the main concern.
If it was announced that the SUPER BOWL was going to be played here, it would have sparked four days of celebration.
Only the politicans are looking forward to meeting these international deciders and showing off the city. we may even get business in here.
Pres. Obama selected Pittsburgh because of its rebound from losing the steel industry..hear that Detroit. Some have said it was political payback. DUH!! The mayor, the County Executive and the Governor were for Hillary Clinton in the primaries. Maybe it was a tribute to Arlen Spector.
Sorry for the off-topic but this is a big deal for Pittsburgh.
