I'm thinking of that wingnut apologists' mantra that anyone who is on the air, unscripted, is going to say something offensive every once in a while. Does Rush ever slip up and say anything that's not offensive? Scratch that. Does he ever say anything logical?

        I'm not a listener.
I had a co-worker in the 90's who was, and I heard all I could stomach then.

Wow! A new low for Limbaugh. I'll give it about a month or so before he slips in the N-Word into his segments about Obama.

Then you'll get the obligatory objections by his followers and fellow wingnuts: "But...but, those hippity hoppers say it all the time, when a white man says it its RACIST!!!!11!1"

      Sigh. Poor, poor radical wingnuts.

Preston, due to the buffer that "live" radio shows have, I'm pretty sure el Rushbo has probably already said it, but his quick thinking producer has his finger on the dump button waiting for such a thing to happen. I don't know if it has happened or not, but chances are pretty darn good.

Let's see, the groups of people Rush has offended this week and turned away from the republican party he'd like to have re-emerge:

        1. Latinas
        2. Latinos
        3. Native Americans
        4. African Americans

        Am I missing any?

Good point! That just shows you that he's a coward. I have a lot more respect for bigots when they're honest about their views rather than hide behind codewords and edits.

I'm sure if Obama appoints another judge to the SCOTUS (which is highly likely given that Stevens and Ginsburg are up in age) and the appointment happens to be an Asian, he's going to slime them too. He's a soulless hack whose only goal is to make money for himself, not to save his party.

          5. All humans with souls. That only leaves the current membership of the GOP remaining with Rush.

Hey Rush, at least you get two days off coming up to gather your thoughts in order to further embarass and alienate the Republican Party from Americans circa 2009. Thanks and be sure to get plenty of rest. One thing you might want to go with next week is your own "richness of experience". We don't have any pill poppers on the high court. We don't have any single men, thrice divorced and childless on the high court. But, you are white and you are hard of hearing so we got plenty of those. NOT QUALIFIED!!!

I am so concerned about journalism in this country today. It is not because prejudicial people like Rush Limbaugh have a right to speak or that so much of our news is coming edited by well meaning people with no sense of history or social science. It bothers me that most of the press ,that people call "liberal", is owned by the right wing establishment who consistently barrage the unsuspecting with misinformation about how everything the "liberals" say is a lie. They say this even when it is not true. They say this knowing it is not true.
Witness the calling native americans 'clowns' (Limbaugh) as well as denigrating Sotomayor(Limbaugh again). Myself and many people I know are saddened to be called 'clowns'. Yet we respect his right to make a fool of himself. I just worry that the liberal press or the real journalists will be brought to heel by pressure from the lies being perpetuated by the far right.Maybe we should have a truth in advertising applied to the press as well as to the
advertising media.Maybe facts should emanate from a central agency that does "fact checks" on a regular basis. But then who would monitor them? Citizens beware. Read both sides and use your own intelligence to find the truth.Do not let someone else define your reality. Support freedom of speech and a free press.

Rahr Limbic, Crazy Horse says he's up for a rematch, light calvery against light calvery. Perhaps the video of it might show who's a clown.

Well technically the majority of Latinos/Hispanics in America have what Limbaugh would call Indian blood. So in a way, Obama nominated a White/Native-Indian (Latino) to the Supreme Court. Rush 'ought to know what he is talking about.

I recall a Native American Vice Presidential candidate not too long ago... Their ticket was a spoiler, too, by many counts. But not the Florida one.

He might as well have said the N word cause Native Americans have been fighting the term "redskin" for years....on a side not though I like the team I would appreciate that they change the name especially because I'm part Cherokee.

Yes hes jumped off the deep end and he is doing the one strategy that racist white males have been using since slavery. This strategy is so effective that blacks with darker skin still dislike blacks with lighter skin and vice versa till this very day. You claim that one is getting better treatment than the other and have them fight amongst themselves instead of fighting you.

Also there aren't many Native Americans being promoted in politics because there are only about 2 million left and many aren't even close to being half blood. Most were killed by disease, genocide, or being thrown into reservation of land that the US didn't want.(or until they found that they did)
