It's almost guaranteed she will be confirmed. There are going to be a lot of head explosions... Obama may want to set aside some of the stimulus cash for cleanup jobs. At least it will give more opportunities for those citizens of the Red States.

Uncle Pat's blatant racism and sexism never fails to amaze me. It was you Uncle Pat along with another Nixon foot soldiers that created the Southern Strategy, and now it's backfiring on you. It's you Uncle Pat that paved the way and influenced the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc.

The fact that any mainstream news organization gives you a voice to air out your bigoted views speaks more on the decline of our media than your archaic opinions on race and gender. Don't bemoan about the failure of the Republican Party when the current party is what you help created. If you make your bed hard, you have to sleep in it.

Perhaps Duke and Sen Byrd os a better comparison. In 1944, Byrd wrote to segregationist Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo:[9]

“ I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. ”
        — Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944

Byrd repudiated the Klan. Many years ago. I just thought I'd put up that fact since you're determined to hide it. Makes all the difference since Duke has never repudiated his Klan affiliation...

I think fairliberal and a dead horse are a much better comparison. They both get beaten here as a daily occurrence. The latter by fairliberal, and the former by anyone with a brain.

Gotta LOOOVE these wingnuts like "fairliberal" here.

They say we can't judge Dumbya's presidency now . . . but will bring up Byrd's 65-year-old KKK association at the drop of a hat . . .
