An absolutely pitiful display from the right. I honestly thought they hit rock bottom a while back, and then this week comes along and these totally clueless freakin' hacks find themselves more gutters to crawl deeper into. Un-be-liev-able.

How are far are they willing to throw this fit? Would they rather die (American lives) than to be exposed, change, or except minorities in office. What would "they" do to express their disgruntled position. How far are they willing to go if they would blatantly disrespect their Commander in Cheif and their President. How long are you willing to entertain it? You act like there is no news accept for to argue about this S#$* for month?
AND you aren't part of the problem? MEDIA

Just do your coverage, Don't be diverted! You won't even notice that the Swine Flu may very well be bilogical warfare because you are so used to talking s$%^ and calling it media. Get over yourself!

You know, Olbermann has the easiest job in news commentary. All he has to do is let the right screw themselves. Her statement about being a latina woman, taken in context, is not at all racist or inflammatory. She was saying that as a latina woman she would be better qualified to make decisions that would affect other latina women. I think the intense charges of racism on the right are a proxy fight - they can't call Obama racist so they pick on Sotomayor. When the GOP put minorities in high places (Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice) none of us on the left charged they would not be good at their position because they were from minority backgrounds. Sotomayor has been confirmed by the Senate twice already, this was a lame fight from the get-go. Someone on the Stephanie Miller show said the other day "President Obama is playing chess, while the GOP is playing tic-tac-toe". Outside of racism there is little about Sotomayor to attack. Brilliant scholar, long service on the federal bench, inspiring personal story. In fact, if she was white and from a trailer park in West Virginia the right would LOVE her story. But since she is a Latina from New York she is a threat to the white male-dominated power elite. Stuff like this is why the GOP will be irrelevant for a long time to come. All they had to do was say "Wow, great pick." and challenge the notion that all they are about is opposing the President (and, by extension, the majority of American voters who supported him). But instead they will continue to tarnish their image and squeeze themselves into a tiny little corner of the American electorate. It's kind of sad to see.

I know I won't show up for a little while...it's ok, I understand. I'll make enough comments to prove I don't violate terms and conditions(unlike Fox News, however...)
My problem with this is I have the impression that these commentators don't read anything. I like Keith, primarily because he has the facts to back him up( unlike Fox News). He practically was the only one who made the great case for Governor Bush to resign the appointed office. Olbermann used the facts then, he uses them now. (I call him Governor Bush because it's the only office he won legally).
As for the current situation, very strange to hear these "conservative" commentators use hearsay against this Judge.
They do this all the time to anyone they dislike. Clinton found that out, Gore was outmaneuvered illegally, Kerry got smeared under, and now a Latina Judge.
      Why?
Again, nobody reads anymore. She never said a white male was not as qualified as a Latina woman to make legal decisions. She sim-ply said she brings a different perspective than a white male.
That's not racist! It's a fact. For these over-privileged and spoiled commentators to use parts of her speech to attack her shows their limited intelligence to discuss anything worthwhile.
I'm white, a male, and I don't see a racist woman here. I'm not offended by her "race" or her speech.
I believe Fox News is nothing more than an extension of the National Enquirer school of journalism. Once in a blue moon they're right ,too. Doesn't mean I trust them for my news.
Hopefully, these bigoted commentators will die on the vine. Haven't we had enough of their windbag selves?

Racist? The non-hooded noose-loop ties are on Fox News and conservative talk radio. Rush, "Sepsis," Limbaugh is the biggest megaphone. Fmr. Justice Hugo Black was a member of the Ku Klux KLan. What is comes down to, is the fact that Judge Sotomayor is a woman. Confident women scare men. That is, so last century.

Did Olbermann just stick to commentators who have larger fan bases then him with this attack? Oh that's right his ratings are slipping into oblivion for a reason, just another example from what I can see. Love the little quip about Glenn Beck there at the end... Bitter Bitter Liberal who can't understand why nobody watches his show....

The White House is glad to let this story build. Why be defensive? Instead of talking about Sotomayor's (perhaps nuanced) legal and policy stances, everyone is talking about what silly people the right-wing are.

      Win.

Learn from this, folks: Addressing right-wingers gives them power. Play a different game. Ignore them and they'll get more and more radicalized in what they're saying in hopes of baiting you. And then you have won, because all you have to do is point out how stupid their radicalized statement is.

This whole Sotomayor thing has turned into Democratic gold...

The right-wing is simply not able to free itself from the grips of its own lunatics.

Mr. Bouncy-Bounce being exhibit A. (I love the way he looks around his vacant studio as though someone is about to break into applause.)

The habit of lying is so ingrained in conservatives that it's second nature.
