Yep, the scams are up! See you may not be able to convince countries to invest in things that are fraudulent anymore and then start launching nuclear missles when they find out that it was a scam. The GOP network may have just ended because of the disparity that closed and select group put on others globally.
Sotomayor may not be the one to manipulate and that is your question. But Sotomayor is not God. She may not even make it! She hasn't been confirmed yet. and in my opinion should not be because of her incite of a great society of white males in America. That statement was uncalled for and may have offended the boys and should be a costly mistake to her. I love the boys, but when they are about the right- not just the white. I wouldn't ask them not be proud to be white and improve white living standards because I am proud of being black and that is why the Articles Conferderation was rewritten- to include the voice of the many and not the few. We have policy tools to keep everyone in place now. Let's go!
I really do think we need to institute a national Ombudsman to watchdog the entire media industry. That person (or it could be a panel) should have the power to fine these media outlets HUGE sums of money whenever their hosts or invited guests make completely false statements without the news media making note of that falsehood immediately.
In other words, if someone such as Tobin makes the statement as he just did on that show that in MOST of the cases Sonia Sotomayor has been a judge on that she sided with the weak and powerless over the strong and powerful, and the Ombudsman can show by a quick review of her case history that such a statement is completely factually untrue, then Faux News would be forced to immediately correct that statement by having their hosts publicly announce that he had spoken falsely and would have to repeat that denunciation at minimum a dozen times over a 24 hour period, and that if they didn't, they would be subject to a million dollar fine for every day they refused.
Such a system would put an immediate halt to all the lies and BS that are continually spouted on major networks. And please, anyone who is about to, pleas spare me the idea that this would chill or obstruct our nation's and our free presses' ability to freely report things. What it would do, would force the media to do due diligence in researching anything they talk about, and speaking only the truth about it. There could be any number of ways to institute such a system that would also protect the media from any problems when it came to disputed subjects.
In other words, you could set up a system whereby there would be no fine or punishment if there is no CLEAR record to draw from in order to determine the accuracy of the statement, but that if there is a clear record to draw from, and someone makes a completely false statement, the media would be obligated to correct it immediately.
It was "Wall Street" not "Main Street" that was the major collapse, because investors bought all those bundled mortgages and artificially inflated the values to make enormous profits.
Again, apparently no one read the ENTIRE speech! I did, and as a white male I found no offense in her speech.
These ill-informed commentators are throwing red herrings, nothing more.
I believe she'll do a fine job as a Supreme Court Justice.
And, last time I checked, the powerful usually get that way BECAUSE they do ruthless things to the defenseless. Too long has big business dictated their terms to do business in the U.S, only to have them ship jobs overseas because their profit margin shrank.
Unions are bad? Last time I checked, most of them have seen their
bargaining power cut down. The unions have their bad side, of course. We all remember Jimmy Hoffa.
But, I'd rather deal with unions than a corporation bent on the highest profit at the expense of the worker.
Is this what it means to be an American worker nowadays? Lower wages and more hours? Shorter vacation times? CEO's making more than some countries entire budgets? Off-shore accounts to evade paying taxes?
If that's Capitalism, count me out. I'll be a Socialist if it evens things out.
Unions are not bad in my opinion, maybe their politics are"deep" you know like 6 and stuff, :) but they are the insiders. These individuals are aware of the Rep's that have a policy strong hold and when in Rome you will do as the Romans do. Also, consider the psycographics of union make up and the demographics, the two are fusable as to the behavior of ruthless politics. They joined to protect themselves from the nakedness that fluxuating company's could not survive and they play politics and give concessions. The union's though are as good as the politician who they attach themselves to though. This is strategy. I am pro-union! The health issues of these valuable and skilled laborers is costly at the end of the day though and they would be willing to listen to the Health Care Reform Policy that my President is designing because they need it after exposure in harsh weather, chemicals, fiber glass, and other category of dangers. What has been done with unions is a substitution! Instead of great healthcare, they have been given good compensation to pay for everything. At the end of the day, all of that good money is spent on trying to live after retirment instead of living peacefully. The union is the first to approach with strategy and I am proud of them. They build America. The coherently, skillfully, and comprehensively have delivered just as they said they would and fortunately, we don't have a lot of complaints about the craftsmanship of our skilled labor. We have a problem with deceptive companies that are not union organized though-the standards are not the same. This is the politics coming into play. One must know how to play politics!
As well, i apologize about the "main street" thing, but i did want to throw it in their that way as a bread crumb. :) You have a good eye, Sir!
THANK YOU!
All Fox is hoping for is that if they throw enough mud maybe some will stick. So far, it's not looking good for the loons.
Then who exactly is it that they wish to organize? The unemployed rarely pay dues and it's as hard as hell to negotiate with imaginary employers.
Jeez, but you'd think Faux would at least TRY to make their propaganda at least APPEAR a tad more plausible.
